Something nudged against me which forced my eyes to open, they instantly softened at the bare sight of my wife snuggling against me; she was unguarded, vulnerable, quiet and so beautiful under the shaded rays of still rising sun.

I tapped on the nightstand to conceal the glass windows with walls and hugged her closely so she can't escape from me.

I don't know why but she brings out my worst possessive side that I only wish to cage her with me, forever.

But does this forever even exists in my life?

As since the moment I was born, I only have cursed the happiness around me, my presence has only brought bad omen to my family so how can I even think of tainting something so bright and bold just because I have feelings for her?

She deserve better but still I can't let her go, she is mine.

My fingers traced her face while lips graze against her forehead.

"Don't ever leave me, Simran or I'll just kill myself cause I have had enough miseries in my life, I don't think that I can't take more pain,"I sighed while embracing her in my warmth, basking her into my scent so she knows she's mine.

"I hope you will only seduce me as my wife and I'll always be tempted by you as your husband".

For the first time, I felt something bright moving in my heart

"You just ditched my daughter out of the blue and married someone else, Zander".

Veer Merchant yelled, his eyes were taunting me with disappointment but I didn't care, my heart was soothed unlike before. There was happiness in me, the rift I had been sensing for all those years was driven away as if it never existed inside me.

"I am not sorry or shameful about it, Sir," I mumbled, honestly and sincerely but regret wasn't anywhere in my voice.

I was only sorry to him because I broke my promise but other than that I felt nothing. I gave him false hopes and lastly, I just ditched his daughter which must have hurt him that I didn't do intentionally.
