Chapter 5

"So this is where you have been all this time" she says but more to herself looking around my office "and you are still using the Alelak potion. I can't smell your sent" With each word she comes closer to me.

Standing in front of me, she caresses my face with the back of her hand "I almost forgot your sent, but the neckless you left your friends kept your sent alive in my head" she cubs my face with her two hands and the warmth and sparks are making me melt and I don't know if I can still keep my guard up.
"I know someone made you leave me. I know who it might have been and all I need is for you to confirm it to me so I can kill them" at this point I start sobbing.

I want to tell her, but I can't. "W-Who do you think it is?" I am curious "We have the suspicion that it was Leslie" just hearing that name makes me angry. I let out a growl and turn around so she can't see my flushed face. "So I was right. You don't have to worry about her. I will kill her the second we are back home" now she is the one growling and shaking uncontrollably.

I know if she doesn't calm down she might shift here and that would be very dangerous.
I move closer to her and hug her tightly. A few seconds later I can feel her calm down and her breathing is more even.
She puts her strong arms around me and we just stand there for like seemed hours but I could have stayed there forever with her.

Someone knocks on the door and I pull away from her. Parker comes in "Sorry guys, but the nurse wants to come in" I clear my throat and blush hard that we got so caught up, that I forgot where I am.
Not long after Angie comes in with a tray with the medicine for ms Mubekk "Here are the test results you waited for Dr. Watson and I already put all the information about the ms. Mubekk into our system" she gives me the envelops when I see Scarlett pointing to Angie, then pointing to the door.
I roll my eyes, Oh goddess, she wants to be alone again, but I know we have to talk "Angie, don't you worry about that let me do it, I'm sure you have enough to do" I say hoping I didn't sound too rude, but thankfully she smiles "actually that would be very nice. We have too many patients and too little staff. Thank you Doc" she leaves closing the door behind her.

I  look up to see Scarlett looking at me "What?" I ask her "I just missed you so much, when you left, my heart and soul were gone with you. I didn't marry Leslie, instead I made every soldier, every wolf look for you. I was so desperate that I went out to look for you when everyone  was asleep. Thats how I found the neckless and the note you left Amy and Parker. They hid it very well, but I could identify your sent anywhere.
Since then your friends Amy and Parker have been helping me find you and whoever did this to you" tears are now rolling down her beautiful face and all I want is to jump into into her arms and take all her worries away.
"I knew you weren't dead. I could feel it through our bond but I also could feel your pain and despair" I move closer to her now also crying and we hug.

Holding each other like we are never gonna let go. "I'm sorry Scarlett but Leslie didn't give me an option. She was gonna kill my family and innocent people. I couldn't stay" I sob into her arms "don't be sorry my love, she will pay for doing this to you, to us. I will kill her with my own hands" she growls holding me closer "Does she know that you suspect her?" I look up at her "No, she isn't aware that I'm still looking for you. She and the others think I gave up looking for you two years ago" I hum.
I know what I am gonna do. "Don't kill her" I simply say and she looks at me like I have three heads "What? I'm sorry my love but she will die. It's the law. She threatened and chased you away, betrayed me, our kingdom and goddess knows what else. Penalty: Death. That's not negotiable princess" I sigh "but first I must find out who her accomplices are so I can get rid of those traitors once and for all"
She places a gentle kiss on my forehead "I dreamt so many times that I had you in my arms like this but then I woke up and you weren't there. I-I'm afraid I will wake up and yo-you won't be here" by the end of the sentence it was just a whisper.
I cup her face and wipe her tears away "Baby I am here, I'm real" I say to her and she pulls me in closer, her lips touching mine sending a wave of electricity all over my body.

We kissed with so much passion and love. We pull away trying to catch our breath. She looks at me and smirks  making me blush and look away "So, what now?" I ask her not sure what to say or what to do.
"Well you are coming with me, I will investigate who else is working with Leslie, I kill her and her friends, we get married, you will be the Luna/Queen,  I will put my pups in you and we live happily ever after" she shrugs her shoulders like she is just telling me about the weather or something very casual "I can't come with you. My family is still in danger and if she finds out we are together, she will kill them Scarlett" I sniff "don't worry baby, nothing is gonna happen to you or your family or friends. I will protect you and your family my love. I promise you. I cant be away from you again, I need you with me" I want to be with her I missed her so much my heart hurt so much.

I don't know if I can stay away from her again. I'm done letting that Leslie bitch keep my mate from me. I'm not that little girl she terrorized 8 years ago. I'm done.
I nod and she looks at me surprised "You are coming with me?" I laugh at how cute she looks right now "Yes, Scarlett, I'm coming with you my love" she cheered and picked me up and started spinning me around. I am laughing and she is smiling big.
She put me back down and started smothering me with kisses all over my face which makes me laugh harder.

We ended up ordering some food and Amy, Parker, Scarlett and I stayed  in my office. The three of them refused to leave so while I worked they stayed in my office.
By the end of my shift Scarlett was smothering me with kisses and wouldn't let me out of her arms.
"We are coming with you" Scarlett  whispers in my ear making me get shivers down my neck. "O-O-Okay" I stutter and hear her chuckle making me blush. She laughs and kisses me on the lips.
