Chapter One: Listen to me

Harry Styles sat at a small table outside of a coffeehouse. It was just the end of summer and so the air began to get a bit nippy. The leaves were still green and flowers hadn't yet closed up, it felt just perfect. He wore his favorite gray beanie that his mum made him and dark red sweater with a scarf tucked inside. Picking up his tea, he smiled. He always liked this time of year. He could cover up a bit more and not show all they skin he did in magazines.

Across from him sat his mirror image, his twin Edward. Edward was in his usual mood of brooding. He wore a black tank as if it was the middle of July. His fingers tapped restlessly on the glass table as his eyes wandered the street. People were so inconvienent. Everywhere all the time. Wanting to know what you were up to and why. Harry could practically read his brother's thoughts as he set down his cup with a slight grimace on his face.

“You know...” Harry started up. Edward's kohl lined eyes blankly shifted to his brother. “We wouldn't be sitting here anxiously if you hadn't been so rude.”

Edward scoffed. He wasn't a man of many words...at least not in public. He actually talked quite avidly with Harry. As long as they were alone. And that he wasn't in a pissy mood.

"I'm serious Edward. You can't just talk to people like that; you'll have us get a bad rep."

"Well maybe they shouldn't be so friendly with you." Edward said quoting the air.

"I can defend myself."

"Yea sure you can Harold. You are such a people pleaser."

Harry opened his mouth to retort when his cellphone began to buzz on the table. Edward quirked an eyebrow as his brother read the screen.

"Hello?" Harry's voice shook a little as he anticipated the news.

"Hello, this is Louis from Dazed and Confused Magazine. I'm just calling to inform you that we will be going ahead with the special. Photoshoot begins at 6 am so please try not be late."

The phone cut off and Harry smiled at his brother. "The shoot is still on. Good thing I'm so friendly right?"

"Tch, whatever." They both stood up as Edward left some money for the bill. Harry stretched his arms as he walked down the street beside him, the wind tickling his eyelashes. He knew Edward was relieved. Somethings never change.

Louis took a deep breath after he hung up the phone. Who's idea was this again? Have the intern call one of the most highly sought after models. His heart was rattling in his ribcage. He was happy and afraid. How could he possibly try to seem cool when he was fangirling inside. It was certainly a way to start an internship. He flicked off the lights in the editor's office and made his way down the hallway towards the building's exit.
