Escape

Have you ever experienced what it’s like being kidnapped and brought into a strange world having blood-curdling creatures chase you around, trying to kill you for a psychotic woman? When that insane woman claims that you have ruined her life when you don’t even know her? A young successful writer had experienced such a traumatic ordeal  before.

Olivia, being only 20 years old, has written many books and is one of the best writers in the world. She has made a large sum of money from her best-selling books. She started writing when she was 12 and had written her first book when she was only 16.

One day, she was returning home from a long and grueling day of hard work. She went through a day full of interviews and sponsorships for her books. She was thinking of writing a new novel as she had finished her previous one and had already published it. She was also thinking about which college she had wanted to go to. Being a writer at such a young age, she had been homeschooled so that she could spend more time writing her novels.

Then suddenly ,
Darkness

‘’Where am I?’’ Olivia thought to herself.

She woke up in a desolate world. The place had an unsettling feeling. There was no sign of life anywhere-no trees, no plants, nothing. All she could see was a gray floor with an even darker sky. The sky was of a dark burgundy color. All she could see was a vast open space of nothingness excluding some large rocks popping up from time to time.

Her heart was hammering inside her chest. She started to think of all the possible scenarios that could have happened and all of them were frightening her. She could not find a reasonable explanation of what was happening.

Could this be a dream?

She pinched herself to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. But to Olivia’s dismay, she was not dreaming… Although Olivia knew that it was foolish of her, she started glancing around looking for a way out.

Then she saw a figure walking towards her. Upon seeing this, Olivia felt hopeful.

Maybe she could help me!

But as the figure got closer, Olivia noticed that she was walking in an unfriendly manner which made her feel uneasy.

‘’Hi, could you please help me? I woke up and ended up here. Can you tell me where I am?’’ Olivia pleaded.

‘’ Well , well, well… looks like the little Miss Can Buy Anything She Wants decided to wake up eh? Well, I was the one who brought you here and I will not be helping you after what you have done to me,’’ The strange looking silhouette spoke as she stood before her own eyes.

‘’Who are you? Why did you bring me here???’’ Olivia shrieked, anger apparent in her voice.

‘’Shut it, drama queen. I brought you here so you can suffer just like how I DID because of YOU! You have a nice life while I live in misery! So, I worked on a device which could go to any world I liked. And after years and years of creating my device, I finally perfected it. I searched for you and I found you. I knocked you out and brought you here.  OH, and I brought you here to know how it feels. So that you will never have a happy ending; Like ME! Oh and before I forget, I created some creatures here specially to kill you. Good luck trying to find a way out. I almost feel sorry for you but after what you had done to me, I show no remorse towards you,’’ The figure stepped forward. She was wearing a large black cloak so unfortunately, Olivia couldn’t really tell who this strange woman was and what she wanted from her.

Before she could ask anymore questions, the woman vanished; leaving Olivia all alone
With the creature , out to KILL her…
