Divine Intervention [TCF Fanfic]

Chapter 1

Before you blink, you see whatever is in your field of vision. When you blink, your eyelids close and briefly block out whatever you were looking at. After you blink, your eyelids open again and you see what is in your field of vision once more. Typically, this happens so quickly and seamlessly that you don't really notice any interruption in your vision. Normally, this was what supposed is to happen. However, right after Deruth closed his eyes to keep it moist, the scenery before him totally changed. From his office room filled with stacked documents, to a lush green field scenery.

"Isn't it beautiful?" that soft voice woke Deruth up from a trance, turning towards the source of that voice, he saw a god-like beauty. Deruth couldn't pinpoint whether the being in front of him is a woman or a man, but he knew that this persons bears one hell of a beauty.

The beautiful creature merely smiled at Deruth before it turned it's head to one direction and when Deruth followed it's line of sight, he saw a gateway like portal that suddenly appeared.

"They're finally here, as much as I wanted to talk to you, I think Death is more appropriate for the job"

Deruth decided to keep quiet as he couldn't comprehend any information the being in front of him releases. 

A silver haired young man approached him and the beauty beside him, donned in robes that could only be seen worn by the statue of Gods and angels in churches. 

"Greetings, Deruth. I would love to have a long chat with you however time is running and we're extremely busy right now, as I was the one who brought you here, it is my responsibility to entertain you and tell you the situation. The world or timeline you came from was completely destroyed. As for the cause, Dark can be blamed and a miscalculation in our part. I am sure, you are aware of how much I - we favor your child Cale, it is due to the reason that he is the sole saviour of the world you reside in. Long story short, the world you came from was fated to be destroyed. Not the kind of destruction that just happened, it is a destruction similar to how a disease destroys a living creatures body. Slowly, but surely, that is without precautions and cure, and all. Cale, or more like the current Cale, is the cure for the disease your worl-"

"wait, current cale?" Deruth could fully process every word that left this young man's mouth, however the word 'current' paired with the name of his son just doesn't sit well with him.

"haaa, right. Sylp, how much time could you give me?"

the beauty that kept quiet with them glanced at the silver haired man before raising it's head to the sky.

"an hour, I could only cover you for an hour"

The silver haired man nodded, "That's more than enough"

He then turned towards Deruth, and took a deep breathe. This is gonna be the longest hour of his existence.

"I'm Thanatos, the God of Death. This is Sylp-Sylphora, the Goddess of Balance. She is a female but due to her being the goddess of balance, she decided to keep it in all seriousness, hence her unisex appearance. There are other Gods aside from the two of use, there's the Sun God who I am a hundred percent sure is famous in your world aside from me. Solarius, The Sun God; Selene, The Moon God, fun fact, they're twins an-"

"Thanatos" Sylphora, the Goddess of Balance, reminded the older God who seems to have gone out of track. 

"-right, sorry. Decima, The Goddess of Fate; Thamuz, the God of Darkness; Tyr, the God of War; Aeon, the God of Time, he is the God your former wife, Jour is serving. There are more of us but they are some of the most powerful and relevant to the situation we're in. now I'll give you a quick recap as to why I described your eldest son, the current Cale"

Right after Thanatos finished his words, their surroundings changed. He started explaining what happened, from the moments Cale was born, the fate that he was destined with, to what Jour has seen, til to the 2 decade war he had undergone due to this arm organization, to the deal he made due to the deal jour made with the Gods, up to Kim Rok Soo's birth, his souls origin and how he ended up in Cale's body with Cale's consent and his compatibility in this world and Cale's body.

"That is why, I called your son the 'current Cale'. Now, I'll start explaining why you're here and why we want you to be here. To make it shorter, we needed someone deeply rooted with the world, was relevant enough to create changes, but not relevant enough to affect his surroundings and make changes without his awareness. and you, you're perfect for the role. you're relevant to make changes but not relevant enough to cause them, It doesn't matter if you don't get it now, you'll have plenty of time once we return you back to your world. Now, let's go to how the timeline you came from was destroyed. You see, your enemy, the real one, is the sealed god. He is Malpas, the God of Despair. We sealed him for the destruction he caused. however, like Thamuz, the God of Darkness, they are the primordial gods, they were created by the creator, unlike other gods, like us, that raised to their current position. This means that sealing Malpas is not enough to actually disable his abilities. We only managed to limit his ability to up to 70 percent, he's using his now remaining strength and ability to destroy worlds, and your world was one of them. Thamuz, the God of Darkness, is strong enough to seal Malpas completely, that is if he is fully recovered. Before we could seal Malpas, Thamuz used most of his strength to weaken Malpas, as he is the only God on par with Malpas, then Thamuz used his remaining strength to Seal Malpas, us, Main Gods, only assisted in sealing Malpas, as that is the only thing we could do at that time. and this took place millennium years ago. 

Deruth, we have one job for you, it's to be our hands and feet in that world, and make it easier for our children to eradicate any residual Malpas has left behind in your world. We will give you everything you might need, be it information, ability or materials or items. Anything, and we won't order you around like a slave, we will just give you missions from time to time, at most, once a month, and at least once every 2 years. We would like to give you a choice however the situation also left us with no choice, we sure hope you could be understanding. we know that we're giving you quite the burden, but it is the only way out we have right no-"

"Thanatos you only have 10 minutes left" Sylphora reminded them of the limited time they have, making Thanatos groan.

"ah shit. Deruth, Malpas is one hell of an enemy, especially for us, that is why we will have you go through a series of training before having you back here and well, another chat. We can't directly have you back to your world as it's currently being repaired due to the precious timeline being erased from existing. You'll be trained by the children of Tyr, the God of War, and Anansi, the God of Knowledge and Ability. I wish you all luck"

Then, Deruth's consciousness was transferred to another world causing him to faint.
