"C'mon, Dustin, you're gonna be late." She called, and after a brief moment of no response, he appeared out of his room. She smiled at the sight of him in a tux, but couldn't help but frown at something else. "What did you do to your hair?" She asked, noticing it had been turned up into something of a nest.

"You don't like it?" He asked, the smile dropping from his face.

"N- I just, it's different." She shrugged.

"Steve showed me."

"Did he?"

"Yeah!.. you hate it."

"I don't, it just caught me off guard that's all." She assured him. "You look very handsome."

"You think Max will like it?" He asked.

"You have a crush on Max? But you were so rude to her."

"Yeah, well, Steve said to act like I don't care."

"That... that doesn't work. If you like her, tell her. The worst she can do is say no. And it'll hurt, of course it will, but it's all a part of life. If it's meant to be, it'll be."

"Like you and Steve?"

"Yeah." She smiled. "Enjoy yourself tonight, okay. Have fun."

"I will." She let out a sigh, feeling herself overcome with sadness. "You okay?"

"It's just... it hit me that you're not a little kid anymore. You've gone and grown up on me."

"Don't worry, Ant, I'm still your little dude."

"Yeah, you are."
