Chapter 1:
It's cold outside and the wind is whistling through my hair making it brush over my face "Ugh stupid wind" I whine as my entire face is blinded by the wind pulling my hair over it, I shiver, the snow on the ground is almost completely gone only in small patches near the sides of the road. I pull up my hood but the fur trim is long enough to be pulled down into my eyes by the wind. I pull it off of my head again as I walk up the driveway of my Mom's house. I swiftly open the door with my key, then I set down my bags "Mom I'm home!" I exclaim as she comes running down the hall, hair curled, green eyes bright and her pretty blue dress flying behind her as if it was some sort of cape. "Sweetie!" She squeaks. I can tell she's glad to see me here in the place I grew up. She gives me a hug and I smile "Mom I've missed you so much" seeing her almost brings tears to my eyes I haven't seen her in ages "How has Collage been Layla?" Her question really gets me thinking but I decide to go with a simple "great!" Even though collage was the most boring jail like bitch filled place on the planet..... I sigh "but I wanted to be here everyday" I say. "We'll dinners almost ready so you can put your stuff in your room if you want to" she says. I nod and bring my stuff up to my room, it's a huge light purple room with black decorations and bright pictures and posters. I look over to my desk and still hidden in the drawer I find the box from those days. And I also find I picture of Ned, he has long black Bieber-ish hair and shiny green eyes like Mom does. I also see his tattoo and his scars in the picture... Similar to the scars that I have... But I also notice his sweet innocent smile. God I miss him I place the picture back in the drawer. 2 months before I left for collage Ned went missing..... He was never heard from again and Mom doesn't talk about him much anymore because when she does she always ends up crying. "Honey dinners ready" Mom calls out. I walk down the stairs and somebody rings the doorbell "I'll get it" I say as I open the door. Whoa! I see a boy who's probably a bit older then me but he's so attractive I think I might be staring....
