-3rd person's P.O.V-The forest in her eyes focused on the darkness that surrounded her body and blinded her from seeing past the faint light given from the moon.
Paulina yawned, rubbing her eyes and trying to focus on the sounds that woke her up.
Upon understanding more clearly what had gotten her out of the slumber? She quickly jumps out of bed and crouches down to the drawer.
She takes out the black pistol with a silver line and silently loads it. If this was an intruder, they better have a good excuse to break into her home.
Paulina was sure she had put the security code to lock the house, so how did the person enter without her knowing? She will soon find out.
Her warm feet hit the cold ground of expensive tiles and opens the black door. A door that had drawings engraved in them made by hand. A very talented man with enough strength to do all this beauty. She still remembers the passion he's made it with.
As she stays in an alert position, walks down the dark hallway she had only a few hours ago walked by. The frames on the walls made it obvious that she had someone else living with her, but he wasn't home.
The stairs weren't that long, so when she stepped into the living room a feeling in her heart hit her rib cage like crazy in suspense.
Paulina couldn't know what would happen next. She was no psychic. She was human and all she had to defend herself were her fighting skill and the gun with fifteen bullets waiting to be used.
The brunette hopes she doesn't have to use any of the deadly bullets, but she will if she has to.
The noise came from the kitchen and so she continued towards it. Slow and small steps to be careful. Pushes back her hair from giving her blinding spots.
It was a mess from turning in her sleep.
Whoever was in the kitchen, sure was a messy and loud thief. Probably a newbie trying to rob for the first time. Although, they must be smart to surpass her security system.
Her back against the wall to prepare herself; takes a deep breath before stepping out and into the light.
"Freeze or I'll shoot!"
Her strong and demanding voice made the figure paralyze as the big torso stared back at her. It was a man, you could see it in the muscles and the body build. A tall man that was one head over her and broad shoulders.
For a moment she thought of shooting, but when the man chuckled, her ears perked up and her eyes blinked back surprised.
"I come home to you pointing a gun at me now, my love?" that was all the man needed to say for her to literally drop the gun to the floor and lounge herself forward into his arms.
He catches her with ease and happiness.
"¡Nik, ay por Dios! ¡Eres tú, mi amor!/Nik, oh my God! It's you, my love!" she starts screaming in Spanish showing the excitement. Part of her exceeding relief it was just him.
Finally she was in his arms within his warmth after so long.
Klaus Mikaelson could only think of one thing when he held her. Complete. He felt whole with her at arm's reach and straddling him as she will never let go because if she did, she would disappear.
The Hybrid adored the feeling.
He loved the idea of her needing him to be this close. It made him feel wanted which was what he's craved so much his whole life.
