Ragnar Baratheon; a name that struck fear in most mens bones was sat upon his steed Caesar, trudging through the cold and wintery Lands of the north to reach Winterfell so that his drunk filled King can ask his old friend to be his new Hand as the old Hand Jon Arryn had sadly passed away a few weeks ago, Ragnar was quite sad when he heard the passing of the former hand as he was a grandfather figure for the young Prince, who also helped increase the young Prince's intellect.
"It's freezing out here, why has father made us come with him on his silly little conquest" Ragnar heard the squirmy voice of his twin brother Joffrey complain as he came out of their mothers wheel house to join his brother on horse back as they enter Winterfell.
"We are nearly their brother just a few more miles and then we will be in the wolves den" Ragnar told his brother strategically.
"Well we would have been their ages ago if mother and father packed lightly" Joffrey started to complain again.
"I know that and you know that Joff, but you know we don't have a say in what mother and father bring with us, and please for the love of the Gods do not complain the whole trip, I would actually like to try and enjoy it" Ragnar and Joffrey stay in silence for a few minutes until Ragnar broke it.
"Right... well I'm going to check on mother and our siblings, we will be closing in on Winterfell soon, oh and do keep your mind open" Ragnar says as he jumps off of Caesar handing his reigns to the nearest footman.
As Ragnar reached his mother's wheelhouse he gently nocked on the closed window.
"Mother it is me" Ragnar says softly, at this Cersei opens the window to see her valiant short blonde haired boy.
"Ragnar my darling boy why aren't you on your horse with your brother?" Cersei questioned with a frown.
"Am I not allowed to visit my lovely mother and my sweet younger siblings to see how they are doing on this rather dull journey" Ragnar talked back to his mother with a mischievous smirk, to this Cersei smiles and reaches her hand out the window to brush her sons hair out the way.
"Of course you can my strong cub, I always have admired that about you, always putting your family first that is a very noble trait" Cersei says while smiling.
"Thank you mother, it means a lot. Anyway are you two alright, I hope it hasn't been too much of a hard journey" Ragnar asked his younger siblings.
"Yes Rag the journey has been fine, quite adventurous actually" Myrcella answered her brother while his younger brother Tommen also nods at him agreeing with his sister.
"Very well I'm glad to hear that, anyway I must bid my farewells Winterfell is about 30 minutes away and I shall ride in with Joffrey" Ragnar says to his mother and siblings.
"Alright my darling, I'll see you in a bit" Cersei bids her son, at this Ragnar bows his head to his mother to show her his respect, while Cersei closes the window to keep the wheelhouses warmth in, Ragnar walks back to Caesar and climbs on top of him to finish his journey towards Winterfell.
