chapter 1

today was the day! I'm moving back to Minnesota after 3 years. I haven't seen or heard from any of my friends except for adam. last year, larson randomly stopped texting me.. I don't know why, tho. Adam and I would text almost every day ever since I moved here. He was my best friend. I missed him alotttt

Welcome back to Edina, Minnesota

we passed the sign of my hometown. I can't believe it, I can't wait to see my best friends again!!

we pulled into the driveway of my house, and it looked exactly the same.

Immediately, I ran to my room and threw everything on the ground and asked my mom if i could go see my friends. 

"hey mom can i go see my friends?"

"of course sweetie just dont stay out for too long"

"Thank you so much," i say while giving her a hug

i said my goodbyes and went to Adams house first and knocked on the door to see if anyone was home.  I waited a few seconds before i heard the doorknob moving. i was then met with the ocean blue eyes that belonged to Adam, Adam banks, my best friend.

He looked shocked, like he didn't know what to say or do; i just smiled at his reaction and gave him a big hug. a few seconds later, he hugged back. 

his grip tightened as if he let go i would disappear. i felt tears coming down my face, i felt at peace, i was back home hugging my best friend. i felt tear drops slowly drip down my my neck. that's when I realized I wasn't the only one crying, Adam was crying too.

we both pulled away and just looked at each other. when he looked at me, i could see the tears struggling to come out. I softly held his cheek and wiped his tears while he smiled at me.

" i missed you so much grace," he said with a hint of happiness in his voice

"i missed you more adam," i said going to hug him again. i missed his hug. i missed him

i spent most of the time catching up with adam but i still had to suprise mcgill and larson. Adam agreed to come with me to see them. While on the way to mcgill's house, we just talked and enjoyed each other's company. We finally made it to Mcgill's house, Adam knocked on the door while i hid behind him. 

once i heard mcgill talking to adam about a suprise, i came out from behind him.

only to be tackled in a hug by mcgill, his face was full of excitment, it was funny. i finally got out of mcgills grip after he got up. I hugged mcgill and asked if he wanted to go with us to Larson's house,

We made it to Larson's house after a long walk from mcgill's. I did the same thing and hid behind the boys as they stood and knocked on the door. after a few seconds the door swung open revealing my childhood crush. Alex Larson.

I was cut out of my thoughts when the boys started to move out of the way. When i saw him, it felt like the whole world stopped, like it was just me and him. 

I then felt to hand wrap around my waist, i hugged back, and didn't let go until he did.

we pulled away, our faces were as red as a tomato, but i didn't care, all i cared about was being back home with my friends. nothing else mattered. 

"hey guys," mcgill said out of the blue.

we all looked at him with a confused face

"what?" adam finally said

"GROUP HUG," mcgill yelled. 

We all laughed and hugged each other, not wanting to let go.
