As soon as I saw her, I knew my life was about to change. It sounds cliché, but it's true. She was walking towards me, her long hair blowing in the wind, and I couldn't take my eyes off her. It was like everything else around me faded into the background, and all that existed was her.
I was at a coffee shop, sipping my usual latte, when she walked in. She ordered a cappuccino and sat down at the table next to mine. I tried not to stare, but I couldn't help it. She was beautiful. Her eyes were a deep shade of brown, and they sparkled in the sunlight. Her smile was infectious, and I found myself smiling back at her, even though we hadn't exchanged a word yet.
After a few minutes of stealing glances at each other, she finally spoke up. "Hi," she said, looking at me with a shy smile.
"Hi," I replied, trying to sound as cool and collected as possible. "I'm sorry if I was staring. It's just that you're really beautiful."
Her cheeks turned pink, and she looked down at her coffee cup. "Thank you," she said softly. "I'm Sarah."
"I'm Max," I said, extending my hand across the table.
We shook hands, and I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body. It was like our hands were made for each other. We started chatting, and I found out that she was an artist, working on a new painting for an upcoming exhibition. I told her about my job as a software developer and how I spent most of my days in front of a computer screen.
We talked for hours, and before we knew it, the coffee shop was closing. I didn't want the conversation to end, but I knew I had to go home. I asked her if she wanted to go out for dinner sometime, and she said yes.
As we said our goodbyes, I knew that I had just met someone special. It was like the stars had aligned, and everything was falling into place. I couldn't wait to see her again.
Looking back on that day, I realize that it was the start of something beautiful. Sarah and I have been together for two years now, and every day I fall more in love with her. It's funny how life works sometimes. You never know when you're going to meet someone who will change your life forever. For me, it was in a coffee shop, with a cappuccino and a chance encounter.
