Yep. This is your life. It's a challenge to survive each day. Your parents died in a car crash and all your relatives are in China so no one can come and care for you. You cook your own food, wash your own clothes, try to solve hard homework, and you have to work at a coffee shop who gives little to none money. With no one to help you. You're lonely but you can't act like it. If someone knew that you were alone, they would probably throw you into a orphanage or god-knows-where!

People might pity you, that's all they would do. They wouldn't care if you died, starved to death. They wouldn't help you at all! Why would they? they have almost-perfect lives. There's no need to help make yours perfect. It would just waste their time. You might shake your head and say " of course not! There's still nice people in the world! ". That's indeed true. But how many chances are there that you would meet someone so kind and nice? none.

You try not to cry but occasionally a tear drop down uncontrollably. It was so hard. And with no true friends to be there to comfort you, you felt unloved.

" Y/N, this is a SCHOOL. Not a place to sleep. Now can you tell me the answer to question 35?" Your math teacher asked, displeased.

"I'm sorry Madame. I don't know." You cringed.

" THEN YOU SHOULD LISTEN THEN." She screamed at you.

You bit your lip and ignored it. You have to study well. You have to. Or else, you won't get into a good university/college and won't get a job = die without money. Stress piled on your head. It was almost grade 12 for you. If you don't get a good grade... You can't even imagine what would happen.

" yes Madame. I'm sorry. "

The teacher continued her lesson and you payed attention.

" Class! For those who want to get a university in the US, you would have to get a SAT exam. Those who are interested, see me after class. You are dismissed."

You hurried to the front of the classroom in excitement.

" excuse me! so if I get the SAT exam, does that mean I will be automatically agreed in the US universities? " you asked.

" no, but It will approve the chances." Your teacher told you.

" how much is it? " you asked again.

" about $50+(A/N: sorry I'm not sure the exact amount. This is not accurate!) ." She replied

" oh. " you said disappointed, walking away. $50 was way too expensive! you can live on $50 for a month!

This is life after all. Nothing is easy or fair.
