I bid Professor Fig goodbye and followed the Headmaster toward the Great Hall. I walked through the giant doors that led to the Great Hall. There were eyes on me from every direction. I could hear the little whispers going around the room.

Who is she?

Is she the new Fifth year everyone's talking about?

What's her name?

I just passed past all the light whispers and stood before Professor Weasley waiting for my next instructions.

"Ah, our new student, just in time for the sorting ceremony. Come, sit." She gestured to the little stool that looked as if it would collapse under its weight.

I walked toward the unsteady stool and waited for the light impact of the hat being placed on my head.

Professor Weasley gently placed the hat on my head and waited patiently for the sorting.

"What do we have here?" It grumbled.

"You're much older than the others. Hmm. I can sense powerful magic from you." He paused and whispered his next sentence so only I could hear.

"Dark magic." He took a deep, shaky, breath.

I inhaled sharply. 'What did he mean by that?'

"You're wise but loyal. Cunning but brave. Tough decision indeed."

He chose his next words carefully; he could sense if he put her in the wrong house, it could end terribly.

"Better be" He was thinking hard.

"SLYTHERIN!" He yelled. It sounded confident but the wise hat was scared, deep down he knew something was different with that girl, but he couldn't quite place his finger on it.

I stood up to allow Professor Weasley to change my plain black robes, into a dark emerald green.

Before I had the chance to walk to the Slytherin table. Professor Weasley sent everyone to their common rooms to get ready for the new day tomorrow.

"Now, I'll show you where your common room is, and I can-" She started.

"Professor Weasley, I think it would be a good idea if we showed her, so she can be introduced to new people from her house and not feel so alone." She was interrupted by a tall boy with messy brown hair, his face was covered in freckles, and his eyes were chocolate brown, but with a slight honey-coloured tone. There was another boy who stood next to him. He was a little shorter with blond hair that is slicked back with a couple of strands loose at the front. His eyes were cold but held warmth at the same time. The blond boy held his wand in front of him with a red light pulsing from the tip as if it were guiding him somehow.

She sighed. "Very well Mr Sallow. You shall introduce yourselves to Miss Y/L/N, and then you boys shall show her the way to the Slytherin Common Room."

The boy mysteriously grinned and elbowed his friend next to him.

"And no detours, straight to the Common Room." She called out as she left the three of us alone.

"Blast! I was going to show you something cool, I suppose not now." He informed me.

"Anyway. I'm Sebastian, Sebastian Sallow." He held his hand out to me. I went to shake his hand, but he instead bent over and placed a small kiss on the back of my hand and ginned mysteriously when he stood up straight.

I blushed, then cleared my throat. "I'm Y/N, Y/N Y/L/N."

He smiled. "Well, it's an honour to be your guide tonight Miss Y/L/N." He smirked then wink.
