Sum up : Sherlock says something really messed up out of anger. Will it be the end of you two or a new beginning?

Tense, that was the state of Sherlock most of the time now. Recently he wrapped himself around a new case, probably the first to be so difficult for him. At first, it was a bit of a challenge since it was surprisingly Enola who asked for his help. His ego being twice the size of his head, he accepted. However, he must have underestimated it because it has been days, and nothing seemed to budge.

You, on the other side tried to help him as much as you could. You were a scientific and could be really helpful when it came to analyse crime scenes with your lover. You always knew when something was bothering him, you knew him since being ten, so you had learned how to read through his expressions. You knew what to do in those cases, first give him space and then question him to indulge the talk. That way he would never feel pushed around and felt like talking to you was his decision, which in fact was but just with a little help. You were close with the Holmes family, especially with Enola, she was like a sister to you. You met them because your mother was close to Eudoria and tutored Mycroft in Latin. Eudoria really valued your presence in the household, especially since you refused to bend at the rules of the nobility. You encountered Mycroft a few times, and he could bear your presence. He was sometimes annoyed by your constant tease about his vision of the world, but he found himself amused by your envy to make the world change. Not that he would admit it. You only got to know Sherlock last, your paths crossed a few times during five years, but he was often locked in the library, in between two books. You never wanted to bother him, so you let him be.

That is, until one afternoon of spring, your mother brought you along with her at the Holmes' household for a teatime with Eudoria. You were seated, kindly, looking around the room until Eudoria interruptef your little observation.

Eudoria: Oh Y/N, you must be dying of boredom. Why don't you go in the garden, I see you brought a book with you.

You later learned that it was in fact an excuse for you to leave since the two women needed to talk about some serious matters about women's rights.

You stepped outside, the air was still a bit chilly but not too much for an early may. You directed towards a place you always went to when outside of the house. It was a tree, not very tall but very enjoyable when you lean on it. You soon reached it, and slid you back down it, sitting now at the bottom. You opened your book and began to read. You didn't have time to finish your page that a voice spoke up, making you jump out of your skin.

?: What is it about?

You looked up to see a boy with raven hair perched in the tree you were leaning against. You were so mesmerised from his eyes, two pools of even. He looked at you curiously, you knew that face but from where... you realised you were staring and quickly looked somewhere else.

Y/N: I'm sorry, what?

?: The book you're holding, what is it about?

Y/N: Oh.

You looked down at your book.

Y/N: It's about a future knight who falls in love with a woman who was destined to go to a covenant because of her sins. They run away together, and only bad things happen to them.

?: Well, how is it?

You smiled a bit.

Y/N: Infuriating to be honest, the woman seems not to care for the poor boy. Every time she gets, she tries to get in the pants of another man... It's up to the reader to think if she really does love the man she ran away with.
