--Time jump 3 weeks--
Today is the first day of filming and I'm so excited. I took a shower, got dressed, and blowdried my hair. I decided that I wouldn't put on makeup today and I would put my hair in a messy bun.
I went downstairs and heard my parents fighting in the other room. I opened the pantry to get the cereal when i hear my dad open the bedroom door. They were still fighting and now my dad was getting his jacket on and grabbing his keys.
"I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE BIG DEAL IS! YOU EVEN SAID IT WAS OK THAT SHE ACCEPT THIS! YOU'RE GETTING MAD BECAUSE OUR DAUGHTER IS GOING TO BE MORE SUCCESSFUL THAN YOU?!?!" Mom screamed, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"I'M NOT MAD CAUSE SHE'S GOING TO BE MORE SUCCESSFUL THAT'S NOT IT!" he yelled as he put on his jacket. "I JUST THINK THAT SHE'S TOO YOUNG TO BE DOING THINGS LIKE THIS. PLUS ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT SHE'S GOING TO BE HANGING OUT AROUND A BUNCH OF BOYS EVERY SINGLE DAY WITHOUT ANY SUPERVISION!" he started to walk over to me. "I swear to God if you bring a boy home I will beat your ass till there's nothing left, you hear me?!" he started to raise his voice again at the end. "ANSWER ME!"
"Ok fine."
"Excuse Me?" he said raising his hand.
"I said ok." my blood was boiling.
He slapped me across the face "Don't you speak to me that way young lady!"
"I'm sorry." I said trying to hold back tears.
"Now I'm going to tell you again. Don't bring a boy into this household do you understand?"
"Yes sir." I was trying not to make eye contact.
"Good. Now I'm going out, I won't be back for a few days." he walked out of the door and we heard his car door slam shut.
"I'm so sorry honey." mom said running over to hug me.
"It's ok. Now let's go!" I say letting go of her.
We arrive on set and I see a group of kids about my age.
"Ok, bye mom I love you." I said giving her a hug before getting out of the car.
I walked up to the group while my mom drove off.
"Hi there." I said quitely.
"Oh it's um Elizabeth right?" IT WAS THE BOY FROM THE RESTAURANT!
"Um yep that's me." I said laughing awkwardly. "You're uhh Mason right?"
"Yep." a smile grew on his face. "Oh and uh this is Tristan, Madeleine, Miguel, Becca, and Brady. Everyone else is inside.
We got inside and everyone welcomed us and then we were told to sit in the chairs with our names on it. I sat down and Scott started telling us what we're going to be doing today.
"So today we are just kinda gonna learn about everybody so that all of you can be comfortable with each other." He said handing us all scripts "Once we are finished with that we are going to do some script reading."
I raised my hand.
"Yes, Elizabeth?"
"What is script reading? Sorry I've never acted before this."
"That is completely fine." He sounded very calm and relaxed (unlike me) "So a script reading is where you just read your parts off of the script in your hand. But you have to do it in character."
My hand shot up again. "Yes we will be explaining how your character acts and stuff to better prepare you." He said chuckling a bit. "Ok well um let's start with Madeline."
"Hi, my name is Madeline McGraw. I'm 14, I've been in a couple movies and tv shows before this. And I am very glad to be working with all of you and I hope we can all be friends."
"Ok let's go Mason next then we'll just go around."
"Ok. Hey, I'm Mason Thames. I'm 15, and I've only been in very small parts of a couple tv shows and a short film called After Omelas. I can't wait to see where this film takes all of us."
"Hey, I'm Miguel Cazarez Mora. I'm also 15, and I've never been in a tv show of movie. I am very excited to work with everyone and um yeah. Next."
"Oh um hi, my name is Elizabeth Hazelwood. I'm 15, and as I have said before I've never acted before." I gave an awkward chuckle and continued. "I hope we can all be friends and I am so happy to be working with such talented individuals."
All of the other talked about themselves but I zoned out. My anxiety was getting worse and worse with every word anyone said. Finally came the script reading.
"Elizabeth? Hello? Are you alright?" Scott said making me jump.
"Oh yeah sorry just got lost in my thoughts I guess."
"Ok well since you and Miguel are going to have quite a bit of scenes together I thought we would start with you two."
"Ok." I said opening my script to the first scene with me and Miguel.
-time jump end of filming-
"Ok well I think that's it for today." Scot said walking towards us. "You may leave when your parent or guardian arrives. Thank you so much for coming today and have a good evening."
I went over to my trailer so that I could get my makeup and costume off. I knew my mom wasn't going to be here till later so I decided to do a face mask and watch a movie when I hear a know at my door.
"Coming!" I opened the door and Mason, Miguel, Madeline, Becca, Tristan, and Brady we're all standing there. "Oh I'm hi."
"We just wanted to see if you wanted to sleepover at my house tonight cause my parents are out of town and they said it was cool if I had some friends over." Mason said.
"Oh uh sure. Let me just text my mom." I said grabbing my phone.

"Ok my mom said yes." I said putting my phone back in my pocket.
"LET'S GOOO!" Miguel yells
I giggled as I walked out of my trailer and over to Tristan's car.
