I stare at the blond boy for a moment.
"Who's Scaramouche?" I ask.
The blond boy's eyes widen again and a light blush dusts his cheeks.
"S-sorry, you reminded me of someone I know, hehe." He stammers.
"Why are you lying?" Albedo asks calmly.
"I-I'm not lying!" The blond boy protests.
"Who are you exactly?" I ask.
"Oh! My name is Aether, but people usually call me The Traveler. But you can call me whatever you'd like." Aether says pleasantly.
I smile.
"I'm known as The Kabukimono. But I guess people call me Kabu-chan, or Mister Kabuki, or just Kabuki." I say.
An odd emotion passes through Aether's eyes.
However, I am unfamiliar with most human emotions, so I cannot give it a name.
"Traveler, we discovered that Kabukimono over here somehow missed five hundred years of his life. Do you know anything about that?" Albedo asks.
"What do you want me to do about it? I haven't discovered the secrets of time travel yet." Aether says.
Albedo smiles.
"Take him off our hands, okay?" He says.
"Hey! If he's going with you then I'm going too!" Diona says.
"Why?" Albedo asks.
"Yeah, why?" Klee asks as well.
"U-uh, it's because... because..." Diona trails off.
I smile.
"It's okay Diona-chan, if you like me so much that you don't want to be apart from me, just say it. I don't mind." I say cheerfully.
Diona blushes and turns away.
"I...wanna go with you." She admits.
"I'll take them all. Even Klee. But we'll be going to Sumeru considering there's someone I need to show him to." Aether says, nodding at me.
"Thank you Traveler." Albedo says, clearly relieved.
"We're going to Sumeru? Right now?" I ask.
Aether thinks for a moment before answering.
"Yes. Right now. Diona and Klee are coming too." He says.
"But we can't go right now! I have to tell-" I cut myself off.
I don't have to tell Niwa or Katsuragi where I'm going.
They aren't even alive right now so I physically can't.
"You have to tell what?" Aether asks.
I look back up at him and lock my eyes with his hazel ones.
"Never mind." I say in a small voice.
Aether smiles, clearly ignorant of what I'd meant.
"Then let's go!"
