The Anointing that flows

A question in my spirit was, why is it that God anointed the head? He can anoint any part on the body like I am a writer, I need my hands to be anointed. And the spirit said to me because it flows. Everything you pour on your head flows down to your body. That is why when David was anointed the anointing flowed down to generations because he was the head of the lineage. And I am reminded of Psalms 133:1-2 A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! (NKJV)2. It is
like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down on the collar of his robe.(NIV)

The oil only had to be poured on Aaron's head, then it flowed down.
And it fell on anything that was in alignment with the head. That is why the anointing starts with the head, which is the enemy's first line of attack because your head is a symbol of your glory. If the enemy gets it, he has your glory. And no matter how you try to get in position if the head is not in position the oil won't flow. So, the first thing to do is to get in alignment with the horn, the reason
why I'm using the word horn is that in Samuel 16:13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah. (NIV)

Bear in mind that Samuel carried the oil in a horn and because David was in alignment with the horn the oil fell on his head. And the word says that from that day on the spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David because the oil is the symbol of the anointing and the anointing is the presence of God. So the enemy doesn't just attack the head because is at the top but also because it carries the anointing, and
allows it to flow down. Other parts of your body can receive the anointing, but the only problem is that it won't flow to other parts of your body. David left that day and went about with his life as normal, but there
was something different in him that could not be seen. Which was the
anointing or should I say the holy spirit? David continued being a shepherd even after his anointing, just because you are anointed
doesn't mean you are ready to rule. He was just a boy and you must understand that Saul was a man when he was anointed, but David was just a boy. What went wrong with Saul was that Saul looked like the
anointing he received but he was not trained for the anointing. That is why there is significance in David being anointed so early in his life so that he can be trained for his purpose.

In the story, 1 Samuel 17:34 But David said to Saul, "Your servant was tending his father's sheep. When a lion or a bear came and took a sheep from the flock, 35 I went out after it and attacked it, and rescued the sheep from its mouth; and when it rose against me, I grabbed it by its mane and struck it and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear, and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them since he has defied the armies of the living God." (NASB) 37 The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine."(NIV)

David understood that he wasn't fighting the lion and the bear alone, or by himself. That is why he was not afraid to face Goliath, even though the other men couldn't challenge Goliath for forty days. So David when he appeared before Goliath the bible says, 1 Samuel 17:43 He said to David, "Am I a dog, that you come at me with
sticks?" And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. (NIV). I want you to understand that Goliath saw David, a little boy standing in front of him. But he failed to recognize the anointing. Bear in mind that Saul gave David an Amor and a sword to fight goliath, but
because the sword couldn't kill goliath, he couldn't use it. God wants you to use what you have because what you have is what will kill the giant in front of you threatening your people. The problem is that you are looking for a sword and God didn't train you to use the sword, he trained you with the stones so just because you see the giant doesn't mean you need to change your ways and take what you can't use.

Understand that if David went head-on with Goliath using a sword
and an amour, goliath already knew how to use those things. Why would God allow you to go against your enemy using your enemy's best weapon against you? 1 Samuel 17:48 As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. 49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell face down on the ground. (NIV) The stone hit Goliath's head and sank on his head, why didn't it fall? Because the stone carried the anointing to kill goliath, so I want to enlighten you and tell you that David only had to go against goliath, secondly, he had to pick the right weapon to fight goliath, and lastly, the anointing killed goliath. The reason why I am emphasizing the
anointing is that he carried enough anointing to make the stone sink into Goliath's head.

So you might be standing in front of a giant and everyone else around you is scared of that giant and for someone they don't believe that you have what it takes to kill that giant or that you even have the courage to stand in front of him. But I want to tell you that, you carry the anointing. God wouldn't bring you in front of the giant if you didn't have the right anointing. So pick the right weapon,
don't use the same weapon the enemy is using against you. And lastly, the anointing will kill that giant. So, to anyone reading this, it is the anointing that killed Goliath.
