Y/N's POV

Dahyun doesn't sit with me at lunch anymore.

It's been going on for weeks. Jimin would 'borrow' her from me every free period and never return, then later at lunch Dahyun would inform me that she had made plans with him.

I didn't really have other friends, so I was pretty much all alone, watching them smile and laugh and stare at each other.

I remember when Dahyun and I did that a lot.

I also got in trouble during class because Dahyun didn't sit beside me anymore either, which means that she can't warn me when the professor turns my way.

I hate it. I don't get to spend time with her anymore, except when she walks home with me. When we do plan to do homework together, she's on her phone the whole time, giggling.

It doesn't feel like she's avoiding me. It did feel like she was being stolen from me, and she didn't know.

"Hey, Y/N!" she grinned, running up to me and swinging her arm around my shoulder. "Why didn't you wait for me, huh?"

Shrugging, I stayed silent and basically ignored her until we got to her house. Mine was still a little further down the street.

"Why are you so quiet today?" she said again. "I mean, you are quieter than me, but today it's more than usual. Did I do something wrong?"

"No," I answered hastily, not wanting to give her the wrong idea. "It's just.. what's there to talk about?"

Dahyun's smile widened. "What's there to talk about? There're so many things to talk about!"

Oh, no.

"So, you remember Jimin, right?"

Of course I do. You're always hanging out with him nowadays, like you forgot about me..

"We talked a lot, and he actually asked me to a date tomorrow!"

"You- lunch together wasn't a date?" I asked incredulously. What?

"No. We just got to know each other."

"And you're telling me this because?"

"Wha- you said there was nothing to talk about, so I thought of a topic," Dahyun huffed. "Besides, I was about to tell you that you're coming with me tomorrow."

"I'm what?" I raised my eyebrows, walking up to her door. "Anyway, you should get inside. Bye!"

Dahyun grabbed my sweater's sleeve before I walked another step. She tugged roughly, causing me to fall back into her. Before I hit the ground, she wrapped her arms around me and buried her face in my neck.

I was trapped. I couldn't move in her embrace, so I melted into her touch instead. "What?"

"Don't leave yet," she mumbled into the fabric of my clothing. "We haven't been hanging out much lately."

"You've been.. busy."

"Yes," Dahyun agreed. "But that doesn't mean I don't miss you."

I wish she'd hold my hand forever.
