MARCUS

DRACULA WOKE ME UP FROM THE SCARIEST NIGHTMARE EVER.

My little brother, Cody, was grinning when he saw my face trepidated. I guess he always like it when I look scared.

It was three o'clock in a cold morning of May and for the nth time I had this terrible dream again.

Thanks to my little geek brother who I thought, at first, was Dracula with his two pointed sharp teeth. Cody, just like me, had our father's eyes - tantalizing blue like the color of the beautiful ocean on a hazy summer. His hair, unlike mine which is black, was dyed of red which made him more mature for his age 12.

"Mark, anything wrong?", Cody asked when he saw me again pale and exhausted. I can see concern in his eyes. He was sitting on the other side of my bed.

Anyways, Code's not that bad. He's my only brother so we dont have to fight all the time like what Mom used to say.

"Nothing. Nothing." I answered. I gazed at my blue crystal watch Dad gave me on my 13th birthday. I used to do it when I lie.

"Okay." He said with disbelief in his tone. "Water?"

"Sure. Waters please." I replied. I know he loves it when I'm making fun of our last name Waters.

He hurriedly went outside with a crazy smile on his face.

I was left alone in the room, thinking about the terrible nightmare I just had seconds ago.

I've been having this kind of dream last month. And it pisses me off when Cody will wake me up with a laughter in his face staring on my horrified expression.

It was not just a typical dream for me. It's more of a prophecy. The dream's got a message.

****

The dream.

It was a dark room. My room to be exact. I can feel the softness of the foam of my bed at my back.

I could see nothing but darkness.

I scanned the place.

Left, right.

Right, left.

Nothing. There is nothing but total darkness. The color black and the fear it gave me.

I can't move. My two bare hands are chained, I finally realized. Also my feet. I am laid flat in my bed on my sleeping position.

Im sure there's someone in this room with me. I can feel its familiar breathing.

Finally, a deep voice from nowhere broke out the silence. I tried to turn my gaze to find where the voice came out. Again there was nothing.

"Marcus Waters, descendant of the Blues", the voice started. "Im afraid you will die soon. But I can make you a deal."

"What are you talking about? And who are you? Please get me out of here now!!", I screamed, trying to release myself from the chains. I dont understand a single thing it is talking about.

"Blah, blah, blah. I am Falcus, messenger of the Blacks. I enter as your darkest dreams at night. Im here to tell you the horror you are about to face." Still I cant see him but I can feel his presence. I have so much things to ask but he continued talking. "On your coming sixteenth birthday, we will sent to you a birthday gift. Our precious Master will release our mightiest minions to attack you and your family. You have two options, Waters. Join with us or face death."

Seriously, I dont understand what this Falcon is talking about. First and foremost, this is just a dream. And second, falcons dont talk. There's no need to believe his lies.

"Okay. Mister. . . Uhhm, Falcon? I dont have time for your silly jokes now. Hahaha. . . See? Im laughing now. That was one of the funniest jokes ever you can share it on 9GAG." I gave up my award winning sarcastic laugh with tears rolling down my face.

I know when this dream will end everything will come back to normal. Easy as that.

"Well, let's see who is kidding now", Falcon said. "You will suffer the wrath of the Blacks, Marcus Waters!!"

His voice is filled of anger.

It seems real. The dream seems real. Part of me is now saying.

"Blah, blah, blah. Before I leave and turn to ashes. My name is Falcus not Falcon!", he said making me laugh a little.

He continued.

"The Blacks will rise, Marcus Waters. And the colors will fall soon. Our Master is searching for the others. All of you will suffer. We the Blacks will reign this world!!"

I can hear his voice turning slower. Slower. Slower. Slower.

Until there is nothing.

Until I feel alone now, waiting for this dream to end.

Later did I know that this terrible nightmare will take me into the most dangerous quest of my life.

Later did I know about my realest identity.

Later did I learned that the colors will change my life soon.
