Forks Washington

     The first thing I noticed about Forks Washington was that it was grey and wet.  Delightful.  No really after a few ear infections I'm sure it'll be good.  

     I currently sat in the back of my father's Police Cruiser, an interesting experience if you ask me.  My father is trying to make small talk with my sister, Bella, and it's not going very well at all.  Poor man, it's not his fault that we don't know him, I place all that blame on Renee.  Though I guess you could say I didn't know that for a fact, after all, I was only 4 when we stopped visiting during the summer.  

     I don't like my mother the same way Bella does, don't get me wrong I do understand Bella wanting to love her and to care for her, but that's not her job, I tell her that all the time but she doesn't listen.  Renee is a grown woman who can't do anything for herself and I bet you money she'll be begging for Bella to return soon.  I won't let her go back though, despite what I want to believe I do need Bella, she was after all the only person I've ever had.  

     The car pulls into the driveway of the house I haven't seen since I was still in pull-ups, and yet a wave of familiarity washed over me.  I'm really happy to be with Dad, it's all I've ever wanted, to have my Daddy back.  Though I guess I'm too old to call him that without receiving weird looks, damn you Renee for taking that away from me.  

     We walk into the living room, and everything seems to be the same as I remember it, well I think it's how I remember it.  Daddy leads us up to the bedrooms without talking we first get to Bellas's room which is purple, and I mean really purple.  

     "Sorry if it's not to your liking, I've left it just as you left it,"  Dad said rubbing the back of his neck, poor awkward Dad it's really sweet.  

     "No, no it's fine,"  Bella said, just as awkward as Dad, look they're one and the same, maybe she'll learn this isn't nearly as bad as she thinks it will be.  

     "Well, I'll just leave you to settle in,"  He started to walk towards my old bedroom.

     "I did update this one a bit, I figured you wouldn't like to sleep on a toddler bed," He chuckled a bit.  The room was still a baby pink with my name written above the bed where my crib used to be.  There was still a rocking chair and changing table, poor daddy it must have been so hard.  I'm here for him now.

     "I love it, Daddy!"  I said turning around to wrap my arms around him, he was taken aback but he smiled as he tightened the hug.  I felt an unfimilaure feeling warm in my body.  

     "I love you so much, Fran."  He sounded as though he was going to cry, I nuzzled my head deeper into his chest.  

     "I'm never leaving again Daddy,  I promise,"  Oh and did I mean it, I'll never return to selfish old Renee.  

     I heard Bella cough from the doorway, and Dad let go of me, "I'm sure you girls are hungry how about we order a pizza?"  

     After dinner, I helped wash up, not that there was much we only used some glasses for Dr. Peper.  Then I got ready for bed, we had school tomorrow which I won't lie freaked me out a bit.

     I put on the 'Slipknot' album and wrote in my journal before falling asleep.
