Fantasy Life: Demon Lord Reborn

Accident or bad lick

John, a 17 years old teenager was in his room playing the most popular RPG game.

This game has taken most of his teenage life away as he was addicted to it.

'Fantasy life', a famous game where anybody can play as anything even as a maid or a blacksmith.

In the game he played as a demon, and as he played, he became a very powerful demon that ruled the demons...the demon Lord.

                He is currently the top player in the world, he hardly leaves his house as he has no friends or any holiday activities.

As an orphan, his life has been quite boring, everyone around him just cast him away. It was like as if God was against his happiness.

He had already given up on life until, he saw an advertisement of this game and he tried it out. This game became his new reality, his new life. He has played this game non stop for months now. He calls it 'hard work' but it's still normally called 'addiction'.

         An important in-game event was going to take place today. A war between races to determine a supreme ruler.

     "Yaaawwn" John stretched as he has been sitting for hours, playing the game.
"I should get some supplies, this event could go on for hours"

He then took his wallet and left his small apartment. He lived in a self contain house that was quite cheap for rent. He rented it so that he will conserve his money.

   "Good morning John"

"Good morning" he replied as a neighbor greeted him as he passed.

     'Mrs Nora is as nice as always' he waved at the young woman that passed him too.

He walked quickly as he didn't want to miss any important announcements.
Most of his life he has been basically indoors.

He's a virgin teenager who has never had a girlfriend. He doesn't like people much, cause he gets uncomfortable...but inside the game, he feel like he can do anything. A place where there are infinite possibilities, a place where dreams come true.

It's just too different.

Few minutes later...

      He got to the supermarket and he went to pick some foodstuffs that wasn't too expensive. He quickly made payments to the cashier and left as he quickly walked back to his house.

     When he became a teenager, he left the orphanage to start a life of his own. He works part-time at a gas station and although the pay isn't high, since he's alone it was enough for him to survive.
As he walked home he saw a few people fighting each other, he didn't bother himself since fights like this occur everyday. He walked quickly, and then he heard some shouting.

"I'll fucking kill you!"

One of the goons then brought out a gun and all of them brought out their own and a shoot out broke out.

'Oh shit'

He began running to his house so that he wouldn't get caught up in it.

"Why am I so unlucky" he mumbled as he sprinted.

Unfortunately as the shoot out started he was accidentally hit by a stray bullet.

"Fuck"

He was shot right on his stomach. The pain was new to him and it felt like there was fire inside his stomach.
He couldn't even shout as his vision blurred before he passed out. A few people who saw what happened quickly called an ambulance and the cops and John was taken to the hospital.
