Taehyung and Jungkook strolled down the street, their fingers laced together. They were on their way to a small café that Taehyung had been raving about for weeks.
"I can't wait to try their iced coffee. You're gonna love it, Kook," Taehyung said, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
Jungkook smiled, feeling happy just to be spending time with Taehyung. "I'm sure I will. You always have good taste in coffee," he said, squeezing Taehyung's hand.
As they entered the café, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and pastries hit them, making their mouths water. They ordered their drinks and found a small table in the corner, away from the other customers.
Taekook enjoyed drinking coffee with each other with loads of chatting.
As they walked out of the café, hand in hand, Taehyung couldn't help but feel like everything was falling into place. He had finally confessed his feelings to Jungkook, and not only had his best friend reciprocated those feelings, but they were also now officially a couple.
"Jungkook, I can't believe this is happening," Taehyung said, feeling a sense of disbelief wash over him.
"I know, Tae. It feels like a dream come true," Jungkook replied, his thumb gently stroking the back of Taehyung's hand.
Taehyung looked up at Jungkook, feeling a mix of emotions wash over him. He was excited, nervous, and so, so happy all at once. "Jungkook, what does this mean for us?" he asked, feeling like he needed to clarify things before they went any further.
Jungkook looked at Taehyung, understanding the underlying question behind his words. "It means that we'll take things slow, Tae. We'll figure things out together and make sure that we're both comfortable every step of the way."
Taehyung felt a sense of relief wash over him. He had been worried that things might move too fast, or that they might ruin their friendship by taking things too seriously too quickly. But hearing Jungkook's words made him feel like they were on the same page.
"Thank you, Jungkook. I just want us to be happy," Taehyung said, feeling a sense of contentment settle over him.
Jungkook smiled, leaning in to give Taehyung a soft kiss on the lips. "As long as we're together, Tae, I know we will be."
They spent the rest of the evening exploring the city, hand in hand and completely lost in each other's company. As they walked, they talked about everything from their childhood memories to their hopes and dreams for the future. They both knew that they had a lot to figure out, but as long as they were together, they were confident that everything would fall into place.
As they parted ways for the night, Taehyung leaned in to give Jungkook a gentle hug. "Goodnight, Jungkook. I can't wait to see you again."
Jungkook smiled, pulling away from the embrace. "Goodnight, Tae. Sleep well."
Taehyung walked away, feeling like he was on cloud nine. He knew that they had a lot of work ahead of them, but he was ready for anything as long as they were together.
The following days were filled with excitement and nervousness for Taehyung. He and Jungkook had agreed to take things slow, but it didn't stop Taehyung from feeling like he was on a rollercoaster. They spent more time together than ever before, going on dates, watching movies, and just hanging out.
One evening, as they sat on Taehyung's couch watching a movie, Taehyung couldn't help but feel like he needed to say something. He took a deep breath and turned to Jungkook, who was focused on the screen.
"Jungkook, can I ask you something?" Taehyung said, feeling his heart race in his chest.
"Of course, Tae. What's on your mind?" Jungkook replied, turning his attention to Taehyung.
Taehyung took another deep breath, trying to find the right words. "I know we said we're taking things slow, but I just wanted to say that...I really like you, Jungkook. Like, a lot," he said, feeling his cheeks heat up.
Jungkook's face lit up with a smile, and he leaned in to kiss Taehyung softly. "I really like you too, Tae. And it's okay to feel that way. We can take things slow, but we don't have to hold back how we feel."
Taehyung felt a sense of relief wash over him. It was like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. "Thank you, Jungkook. I just didn't want to mess anything up," he said, feeling grateful for Jungkook's understanding.
Jungkook shook his head, his smile widening. "You could never mess anything up, Tae. I'm just happy to be with you."
Taehyung felt a sense of warmth spread through his chest, and he leaned in to kiss Jungkook back. They spent the rest of the evening wrapped up in each other's arms, talking and laughing and enjoying each other's company.
As Taehyung lay in bed that night, he couldn't help but feel like he was exactly where he was meant to be. He had taken a chance on confessing his feelings to Jungkook, and it had paid off in more ways than he could have ever imagined. As he drifted off to sleep, he felt excited for what the future held, knowing that he and Jungkook would face it together.
