As soon as I step in the house, Cameron is jumping to take Romy and accusing me again. 'Don't ever take my daughter again without telling me first. You can't do that.' He is watching me with intensity while carrying Romy into her park.

'You know that I'm here to take care of her while you're not home ?'

'But I need to know what you're doing.' He's watching me like I'm a kid.

'You can't expect me to stay home all day and just cook and clean ; I'm here to take care of her. If it means going out for a walk, then why can't I ?' My anger increases with the fact that I'm tired, and I don't understand why he wanted an au pair to babysit his daughter if we can't do anything.

'I never said you couldn't go outside ; I said you needed to tell me first.' Now he really watches me like I was a kid, he has to reprimand.

'Okay, I will text you everything we're doing from now on. There's some pasta Bolognese in the oven. I'm tired. I'm going to bed.' And with that, I don't give him time to answer and I stroll into my room. It's already six p.m. and I'm starving, but I don't want to see him more or hear him blaming me for something else. I know that I'm acting childish, even if he exaggerates the situation. It's his daughter. I understand his fear, and he doesn't know me yet.

I don't even bother getting into pajamas I get into bed and send a message to my mom, even if I know she doesn't care since she hasn't sent me any messages until now.

Me : Even if you don't care, I'm finally not in New York. Change of plan : I'm in Louisiana. If you want to talk, you know my number.

And with that, I fall asleep.

It was two a.m. when I woke up for the first time. I check my phone and see that I've received a message from Cameron.

Cameron : I don't work tomorrow morning, so you can sleep in. When you wake up, we can discuss the rules of the house and everything you need to know. BTW, I left you some pasta if your hungry, they were really good thanks.

I'm perplexed. First he's saying that we need to discuss ''rules'' of the house, like it's an industry or something, then he compliments my food. Argh, I'm so hungry right now that I don't care about what he's saying. So I get up to make myself a plate of pasta.

Once I'm done, I get back to my room, brush my teeth, change into my pajamas and check my phone in case my mom answered. Of course she didn't, so I got back to sleep.

It's the sun that wakes me, why don't they have shutters here? Even the curtains aren't that thick. I watch the time, eight a.m.; it's not that late, but I almost slept nine hours. I checked my phone again, but there was no answer from my mom, just one from Cameron again.

Cameron: I went to run some errands with Romy; I made the breakfast if you want to eat something. See, it wasn't that complicated to send a message to say I was out of MY house with MY daughter.

Oh my god. If my life back in France wasn't so miserable, I would just climb on the first plane and let Shayla the bitch babysit his daughter. But since I've no other choice here, I am getting up to eat the breakfast he made. Let's just hope he didn't put poison in anything.

I was drinking my coffee and eating my pancakes when Cameron came back with some bags. He put everything on the table and put Romy in her room; she must have fallen asleep on the way. When he came back, he watched me watching him.

'Hi', he finally said.

'Hi, thanks for the breakfast I was scared you poisoned something.' I'm now playing with my food like a three years old.
