It was a seemingly normal day at Avengers Tower in New York City. The team were in the mist of eating breakfast, they had just said goodbye to Peter (aka Baby Spider) who had to go to school. They had a meeting with Fury later in the afternoon. After breakfast the team split to do their own individual activities. Steve and Sam went on a morning run, Tony headed to an SI meeting with Pepper, Bucky and Natasha left to train, Clint disappeared into the vents, and Bruce went to his lab. Thor was off world.
A few hours later everyone was gathered around a long table in one of Avengers Tower many rooms. At the head of the table stood Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D and superspy.
"Alright Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D has found a remote Hydra base in Estonia. We have intel that Hydra is working on some kind of machine. Your mission is to find the use of the machine and shut it down. " Fury said.
After Fury's debrief the Avenger's suited up and headed for the Quinjet. Cap went over the plan before they landed. Clint, Natasha, and Bucky checked their weapons. While Tony was making sure his suit was in tip-top condition and making sure F.R.I.D.A.Y was online. Sam was making some last-minute tweaks to Redwing. Bruce was back at the Tower on comms.
Finally, the Quinjet landed in front of a mountain with a visible base inside of it. Tony had turned on the jet's stealth setting so Hydra couldn't find the Avengers right away. In typical Spy fashion Nat, Bucky, and Clint sneaked into the base without raising the alarm. Then the others followed fighting Hydra agents left and right until they all reached a room containing the strange machine.
"Machine located." Cap said "Stark, go nuts."
Tony stepped forward and began to examine the weird piece of technology. Suddenly the panel started to beep like crazy.
"What the hell?" Tony exclaimed.
A blinding blue light surrounded the Avengers, and a strong wind blew through, then it all stopped. And to the Avengers disbelief, there were five people, in some cool supersuits, sprawled out on the floor.
"Well, shit." the person in the red suit said.
