Sea of Green

I came into existence in the sky.
Although before all there was, and all I knew was nothing. Then I felt warm. I opened my eyes.
I was hardly even humanoid, I was just an eye with six wings sprouting out behind me, a white halo with deep, black, all seeing eyes staring in every direction.
"Hello there, my child," a tranquil, booming voice greets me. I looked up to where the sound seemed to have come from and all there was to see was a robe, face obscured by clouds. This person was holding me within the palm of his hand. "I have a special job for you."
I was ever so intrigued on what this job was, I didn't have to be in suspense for long.
His hand, holding me, descended through the clouds, my form shifting. I grew a body; two arms, two legs, four eyes. My six proud wings sitting on my new shoulders, my hair sitting on top of my head was platinum blonde hair, halo floating around me.
When his hand touched the ground I looked around and saw an endless sea of green. "Wow..." I muttered. The hand gently places me on the soft green.
A chuckle could be heard above me, "Dear Demetrious, I am assigning you to be the guardian of earth." A pause, before he continued, "I want you to do everything in your power to protect this beautiful place I have created."
I looked up to the clouds, "yes," I was willing to do anything that he ordered me to do.
"Good," he seemed to respond happily, "I put my faith in you." With that the hand retracts into the clouds, and I'm left sitting in the sea of green.
