After Zayto's return as the ghost ranger, the team begins their quest to not only recapture the emperor of evil but also to discover the secrets behind their new powers.

In a flash of light, the rangers teleported out of Dino Henge, but instead of their destination, they found themselves floating in some weird energy space.
"Zayto, what's going on? Where are we?" The pink ranger asked trying to stabilise herself.
"You're in the morphing grid," A familiar voice that belonged to the green morphin master spoke behind the team.
The 6 rangers swivelled around and were greeted by all of the masters.
"Lord Zedd is loose, and under different circumstances, we'd leave the upcoming battle to you," The blue morphin masted started
"But he not only a threat to the universe but one to the morphing grid itself,"
"Which is why we have to stop him," Aiyon replied confidently
"Except that you can't, you won't be able to beat Zed with your current powers, especially in unknown terrain,"
"Which is why we're giving you new ones,"
Before the ranges could even respond, they were de-morphed, and their keys rocketed from their hands to the morphin master and in their place were globes with each of their respective colours, except for Amelia and Zayto.
"I think there's been some kind of mistake," Amelia said, staring down at the colour of the globe in her hand.
"I can't be the red ranger,"
"The morphin grid doesn't make mistakes" The pink morphin master spoke
"But I'm not a good leader,"
"That's crazy, of course, you are," Izzy reassured
"You lead every day at Buzz Blast," Javi commented
"If anyone should lead us it should be you," Ollie said
Then Zayto finally lifted his head and drifted towards Amelia with his usual smile.
"Congrats on the promotion red ranger," He said, putting out his hand which Amelia shook with a smile of appreciation on her face before facing the masters
"I won't let you down," She said confidently, and then in the blink of an eye the team was out of the grid. However, they weren't in Dino Henge. They were in a new place, with orange stairs. Their confusion only deepened when Solon appeared in front of them in a flash of golden light, followed but six coloured suitcases.
"Solon what's going on," Ollie asked
"I'm not sure," The cyborg replied as she scanned the bizarre almost command centre-like place they were in.
"Uhh guys," Javi spoke up, pointing at a window in the room they were in, instead of seeing the view of Pine Ridge, they saw a view of Earth.
"We're-" Ollie stammered
"In space," Amelia finished, but it was more of a question than a statement.
