I enjoyed all my classes, which were all new to me. Well, the content was not, though. I have already started online college classes. What was new was the atmosphere of how the class. I loved how the classes were fun. I loved how people would crack jokes at the teachers, pass notes in class and have such interactive discussions. I loved my new school! My face, on the other hand, gave away no emotion. No matter what, it was better than being home doing one thousand bullseyes in archery practice.

Walking to my locker, I shivered at the thought of where I would be right now. I groaned thinking how sore my arms used to get. I got through my first set of classes with ease. I didn't meet Sam for my first class. But I got to see her in all the others.

She was busy talking to others in every class. Though, in chemistry, which I just had, she asked me to sit with her for lunch. I was about to refuse but her puppy dog eyes made me give in. Sam, as I've learned, is one of the most popular girls in school and is, now, the second smartest to me. Not to brag but I am a scholar.

Sighing, I placed my things in the locker, closed them with a bit of force, and walked to the cafeteria. As I neared, it got louder with all the many mouths talking at once. I really wished I was home in the quiet kitchen right now.

I walked through the doors, but applied too much force again, blaming the door on the wall behind it. It got dead quiet. All eyes went toward me. I mean, yes, I am a specimen to see, but wow, too much is too much. A wicked idea pops into my brain. I smirked at them all.

"Ladies and gentlemen! It is the one and only ... New girl in school. She is available for conversations, number exchanges, and hugs. Thank you, thank you, you have been wonderful," I grinned and bowed at them.

The entire room burst out laughing as I rolled my eyes and went to the line. This childish behavior is unbecoming of me, I thought. I wondered if my parents were silently snickering and bragging about me in their graves.

"Well, I knew you were special, but a comic? I never knew you had so many talents, my dear," Sam whispered through her laughter.

She slung her hand on my shoulder and sagged against me. I just rolled my eyes and surprisingly smiled at her. I could give her this much; the girl can brighten anyone's day with her words.

I noticed how some people watched us as Sam ranted on about some dickhead who tried to copy her work. Did they look weirdly envious and ...protective? I brushed off the feeling as we left the food line and looked for a seat.

Today was pie day which I didn't mind but Sam did somehow.

"I really don't like this! But I must eat something, my tummy hurts. Looks like my stomach wins this round," Sam whined and sighed.

I laughed at her antics which had grown me. I have truly begun to love this, Cherry.

"That's the first time I've heard you laugh," Sam gasped, "I feel so lucky and so happy."

She skipped over to a table while I just shook my head. She had so much energy and personality. What am I going to do with this girl?

"Well, aren't you a welcoming sight? Can we sit here?" Sam chimed at the person at the table.

"Well look what the cat dragged in. No offense Sam," I smiled.

Sam at once froze, and for the first time since I met her, she looked disturbed. I, however, just ignored it and focused on Mr. Grumpy in front of me. Ray rose his eyebrows at me at my comment but frowned right after.

"You're welcome to sit. I have some questions for you if you don't mind," Ray calmly spoke.

I gladly took the seat and Sam followed me.
