glee was awful the next day. all sam did was stare at me; with the most hate filled eyes i'd ever seen. santana sat next to him, her hand on his thigh, occasionally glancing over at me too. she didn't look hateful though, more like she had millions of thoughts running through her mind.

i had no clue what to do, sam didn't seem like the kind of guy he was last night, he didn't seem like the type to call me that. i think it was the alcohol that made him act out. i'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

mr schue said that we needed to start practicing our number, half of us hadn't even come into school yet. the rest of us were sat in the choir room with our sunglasses on and rubbed our temples every so often, mr schue didn't really seem too good himself.

we met up with everyone else walking through the hall, artie was wheeled in by brittany; he'd brought bloody mary's.

"the last thing i need right now is more alcohol." santana groaned, i nodded in agreement.

"it's a bloody mary yall, they're meant for hangovers." he held up the flask he was keeping the drink in and some cups. brittany took the cups from him and handed them out between us, we all held them towards artie for him to pour.

we made our way towards the choir room, artie kept hitting into people and mike kept gagging. when we got there we thought of some songs to sing as a group. this was my first performance with any of them, it was kinda exciting in a way, shame i was hungover as fuck.

mercedes' suggested we do 'blame it on the alcohol' and everyone agreed, trying to keep our excitement for the song to a quiet whisper. we soon started to feel better, we weren't on the sick side of the hangover anymore. artie handed out more bloody mary's and we all began to dance. we practiced the whole time after school until it closed, all the way until 5pm.

"i'll see you guys tomorrow," i said to everyone who hadn't left already, santana waved at me and i waved back. she gave me a little smile before being pulled away by sam, "bye."

i walked away slowly, i turned back to santana again but her and sam had already started walking the other way.

glee club the next day was easier, we all weren't so hungover so it was a lot less difficult to practice the song. artie and mercedes' had taken the lead on this one, we all had our outfits and the stage had been set.

puck walked up to us all and called us in, "i got something for you guys." he pulled out a bottle of gin and everyone took a big sigh of relief.

everyone passed round the bottle, taking a huge swig, it was all gone by the time it had gotten back round to puckerman.

we were all in our costumes and mr schue was at a desk in the auditorium. he was smiling at all of us, we all got into positions and the music started blaring. it took us all by suprise, noah's gin had gotten to us already.

the performance went really well, i think we totally played off the fact that we were drunk, even mr schuester thought we were acting.

"this was a really great song guys, but the assembly is to warn kids about the dangers of drinking. i think this song glorifies it a little too much." he said back to us, still smiling.

"maybe there is no songs about the downsides of drinking because there isn't any, what's the dangers if you have a designated driver." i shrugged and everyone nodded.

"mr schue can i just say you look adorable in that vest," rachel stumbled over to us in a line and started playing with mike's shirt, "you are all kinds of awesome."

tina walked over and snatched mike away from her, pulling him to the other end of the group.

"you guys ever heard of alcohol poisoning?" he asked us, we all looked around, santana started sniffling in front of me, "yeah, kills about 2,500 people every year."

santana couldn't hold back her crying, she turned around to me and buried her head into my chest, i wrapped my arms around her as she cried, "santana, are you crying?" mr schue asked.

she turned back to him and waved her hand, "i'm okay, no i'm okay."

mr schue told us to find another song, one that promoted drink less than this one did. santana was still very emotional all day, crying over every little thing.

she was very clingy again, sam hated it. we all skipped out on lunch to practice another song, we chose 'tiktok' by k$sha. brittany took the lead on this one, we all voted and said she looked and sounded the most like k$sha.

we had only a day to practice, the assembly was tomorrow. was glee always gonna be this stressful? we all stayed until after school again, sam left before all of us this time; but didn't take santana. she saw me from across the room and i immediately turned around so i didn't look like some weirdo stood there staring at her. a few seconds had passed before i could hear the sound of boots hitting the floor as someone walked closer and closer to me. i felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around.

"sorry i was kind of a dick to you the other day, i mean, the other morning." she said with a soft smile on her face, i'd never seen santana this close to my face before; well only when we were drunk when i didn't get to admire all of her beauty.

she had the most beautiful caramel skin i'd ever seen, her long raven hair complemented her deep brown eyes which stared directly into mine. her lips were slightly parted as she had just finished speaking, she noticed me look down at them and she smiled again.

"santana it's okay, i don't blame you for freaking out, i'm basically a stranger still. it definitely freaked you out having a stranger in your house." i replied, she just nodded to what i was saying, she also looked like she was admiring me, her eyes traced up and down my face.

she kept nodding even though i'd finished speaking, she'd completely zoned out. i cleared my throat to bring her back to reality, her eyes met mine again. she gave me another half smirk and turned around toward brittany and quinn, waiting for her on the other side of the auditorium. i watched as all three turned the corner and left, leaving me with a few others; including rachel.

she immediately ran up to me, "what was that?" she questioned, i stared at her blankly, "y/n, what did she say? was she rude?"

i shook my head at rachel, to my reply; she cocked her neck and let out a little smile. i was still stuck in my haze, thinking about those lips and those eyes - the way she looked up at me with those big brown eyes.

again, i was shocked back into reality when rachel snapped her fingers in my face, "y/n, hello?"

"she was just apologising." i said nonchalantly, rachel's eyes widened.

"santana never apologises to anybody!"

"maybe lopez has gone soft."
