Part 2

Days have passed since we first met. Every time I see her there will always be a bright hello. She have recently started to sit next to me during classes we share. She makes fun of me always laughing at the end.

Now it's lunch and we are seated comfortably under a willow tree eating our lunch. A sudden question brought me thinking. Are we friends?

I decided to ask her.

"Hope? I asked quietly while looking at the bunch of boys playing football.

She gulps down her food and replies to me "Yeah, Robin?"

Turning to her and asked "Are we friends?

"Of course! Robin, how can you think we aren't friends?" She replied reaching to hold my hands.

Not replying, I continued to eat my lunch. Hope was talking about things that has been happening. I watch her as she laughs at times, getting angry, and pausing to have a bite of her lunch.

"Hey Hope." A sudden voice interrupted Hope's laugh. The voice belonged to the most popular boy in the whole school; Trey Carter! His cronies was behind him smirking. He gives a charming smile to Hope and turns to look at me with with a look of disgust "And creep."

"So... Hope there's been rumours lately, about you and loner boy over here, that you guys are friends." Trey spat out in disgust.

"Yes, it's true. Robin is not that bad. He's fun to talk to!" Hope claims looking at Trey with a face of disapproval.

"Whatever." He rolls his eyes and turned to me giving me a glare "Robin, just remember a creep will always be a creep." He mocks my name. He walks away with his cronies laughing.

I stared at my hands lost in thoughts. Thinking how I hate that I couldn't do anything. How Hope had to defend me. Can I do anything for my self? Always cowering away...

That is me...

"I have to go." I mumbled weakly. Standing up with my head low.

"Robin you know they don't mean it." She tries to comfort me. Giving a nod to her, I walk off with my head low hoping to disappear.
