I feel kind of ashamed for writing this, but I thought the idea was funny ... And a little cute ... And I'm major romantic so I live for ships. I'll let you just get on with the chapter. Sophie is about 121 years old now.
"You should really stop coming by," Elwin told me and I smacked myself with my free hand. "Not that I don't enjoy your company." He finished. I gave him a quizzical look and he just shrugged. "So how did you fracture your knuckles?" Elwin asked, inspecting my hand gently.
I mumbled the answer under my breath and he had to make me repeat it. I sighed, and explained to him, "Tam went for Reyni again and this time, I officially ended our relationship." It still hurt to talk about, even though the argument was weeks ago. And when I turned to my friends for help, they just responded with "you guys just aren't meant for each other then." I'm serious.
"I'm sorry Sophie, I really am. I would try to give you a good inspirational speech, but we both know where that would lead," Elwin joked. I laughed with him and eventually, we fell into silence. It was a little uncomfortable, but I felt a lot better.
"Thanks Elwin," I gratified. "I needed someone to talk to." He chuckled and started to wrap my hand up.
"Unfortunately, you still need some marrow regenerator. I don't know how you did this, but your fingers are completely crushed." I groaned and slowly started vanishing. Elwin wagged a finger at me. "Ah ah ah! You aren't leaving this room until tomorrow at least."
Unwillingly, I sat back up and returned to visibility.
The next few minutes were physically uncomfortable. The hand that I worked with most was the one in the cast so I had to use my subordinate hand. Finally, I had to ask Elwin for help.
Thankfully he was willing to help and unscrewed the cap for me. However, before I could take it from him, he pulled the vial out of my reach and lifted it up to my mouth. I drank the disgusting elixir and started coughing when I was done. Elwin gave me a swig of youth and the big-like candy that tasted like snicker doodles.
I felt a crumb fall onto my chin and Elwin brushed it off. I turned bright red and all I could think about was how soft his fingers were. (Keep in mind that Sophie is now over a century old, she and Elwin can date!)
"Sorry," he mumbled. "I- um, have to mix something, aahh, see you soon." Elwin tried to pull away but I grabbed his hand.
"Wait," I pleaded. He turned around reluctantly and faced me. He had a blush from his chin to his forehead. I pulled him closer and softly asked, "Can I try something?" Elwin slowly nodded and I pulled him even closer. We were so close that our heads were connected.
I moved my lips close to his and left a small space for him to change his mind. He didn't. He pressed his lips to mine and we kissed. (There is no freaking chance that I am going to explain this, so don't get your hopes up.)
We stayed like that for hardly a second, but it felt weirdly refreshing. (I'm regretting this decision.) Elwin smiled shyly at me and pecked my cheek.
We were both blushing and it did not help that a voice commented, "In all my years of fighting the Neverseen, that was probably the most unexpected thing I ever witnessed." I grew pale and Elwin took a few steps away from me. I internally groaned. I could recognize that voice anywhere.
A/N: Soo... What did y'all think? I don't think I liked it at all. That was just too weird. However, If you did like it, you are free to tell me so.
Thanks for the constructive criticism. Uuuummm...
Love you! Dag!
