-PART ONE-

Noah's POV

"You're missing a zero." My jaw would've cramped if I clenched it any harder.

A member of the finance team hurriedly flipped through the pages in his hand, the same ones everyone in the meeting had copies of.

"O-of course, you're r-right, sir." He stuttered out after a few minutes of fumbling through the packet.

I didn't move. Instead, I stayed leaned back in my chair, spinning a pen with my fingers. "How many people reviewed this?" I paused, watching as all of them averted their eyes. "Not one of you noticed that the numbers don't fucking add up?"

No one said a word. As expected. Too bad, I would've respected them more if they took responsibility.

I looked at the head of finance expectantly. I didn't care what nonsense he was about to spew as justification.

"Sir–."

The unctuous man was interrupted by the chime of my phone.

I always had it set to 'Do Not Disturb' during meetings except for calls and messages from certain people. All of them pertaining to her.

A hit of adrenaline set my nerves on fire. I snatched my phone off the table, immediately clicking to my messages.

Sir, she has invited people to the house.

This was not an abnormal occurrence. But something felt off.

The following message had me out of the chair, tossing the pen on the table before rushing out of the room.

The drive back to the house was going to be an hour. I called Reynold as I got into the car.

When he answered with a hesitant hello, I replied with a terse "Shut that shit down. Now."

I called my secretary to cancel the flight I was supposed to take to Florida tonight before checking the house's security feed on my phone. I clicked through the rooms until my eyes landed on the subject of all my thoughts. My grip on the phone tightened as I saw exactly what my staff described. Some kid with his arm around her, his hand on her ass, while he said something that made her throw her head back in laughter.
