The evening had finally set in and everyone was returning home from their work. The night lights of Mumbai were shining brightly. A cool breeze passed from Ridhima's forehead while a tear fell from her left eye. She tightly clutched her phone in her left hand waiting for someone to call her or text her asking about her whereabouts and well-being but there was no sign of any call or text.

There was no one who could save her rather there was no one willing to save her from her horrible life. No one was willing to provide her help and tend to her wounds. Though Ridhima had her own family, her parents, sibbling even a husband but still she felt empty even when she was in the midst of all those people. All this time she was hurting from inside but like her parents advised her to do a little compromises to keep her husband happy she kept on doing the same, however with passage of time she kept on losing her self in the depth of darkness.

Ridhima had a pretty decent life, she came from a middle class family.  Pursuing her education and getting herself a good paid job was one of her goal, however she also came from a family where her parents wanted her to settle down with a nice man who would fill their daughters life with love and happiness. When one day she and her parents received a proposal of marriage from a business class family they felt that everything was going to turn out smoothly well how wrong were they.

Ridhima's parents felt that they have really met a nice family and a groom for their daughter that without putting so much thought they said yes to the relationship and convinced their daughter to marry that man. Couple of months in the marriage and so far everything was going smoothly for Ridhima but slowly and gradually life started going downhill for her. True colours of her husband started coming in front of her drowning her in life long misery making her feel that she had no hope, no dream, nor any purpose in life.

People looking her from outside thought that she was a cheerful soul however only she knew how empty and dark her soul had became. The yellow street lights of Mumbai were shining brightly in the water where she could see her face. Another tear spilt from her eyes thinking about how she could not fulfill her true dreams and desires.

Ridhima for the very first and last time cried loudly feeling free from all the scars and burdens because now no one would dictate her or force her to do anything against her will. Finally she would be able to achieve the calmness which she was longing for since so long.

"'I am sorry" Ridhima didn't knew to whom she was apologizing but still she did probably she felt sorry for herself. She threw the phone down in the river trying to close her self from the world. Ridhima couldn't hear anything not because the highway was crowded or their were vehicles passing by, Nope! Not at all, rather she couldn't hear anything because of the chaos and loud voices screaming at her in her mind. The highway was an extremely desserted area in the night time, it was too dark for anybody to roam outside.

Time 9:00 Pm, so this is it, this is where it ends.

Ridhima sighed and finally closed her eyes before pushing herself up the rails and ready to jump over to the edge.

"Goodbye to myself", Ridhima muttered under her breath before losing the grip of her hands on the rails

In Some other Place

The sound of a gunshots screeching off the walls were heard, the sound deafening as it fills the small room.

But the sound of someone's screaming were even louder that that of gunshots.

"So, you enjoy kidnapping and selling off little girls to drug dealers huh?Fucking piece of shit!" The leader spat kicking the other person hard on his abdomen.
