You both stepped out of the car and entered the animal shelter.

The animal shelter was owned by one of your mother's friend but since she was bankrupt from your childhood town, she was forced to change towns and build her animal shelter from the start all over again elsewhere. You're suprised enough to say that you are familiar with the owner, or the lady who was standing up front of the counter.

" Ms Rein? " You called her name out as she was helping around with other customers.

She turns her head around to hear where her name was coming from and saw you in the distance.

" Oh my, Y/n! Long time no see you. How's your mother? " She says as she runs towards you.

" Good. But, don't you have her cellphone number? " You ask. " That lady never picks up my calls or even know how to text back sometimes. " She laughs as you follow by.

" Oh, this is my boyfriend. Isagi Yoichi. Mr Rein must know him by chance. " You introduced Isagi.

" Hello, Auntie. " He lowers his head at her and gives her a friendly smile.

" Y/n has already gotten a boyfriend? Your mom never calls back so I never knew.. Do you both live by this town now? " She asks. " Yes, actually! " You reply. " I'll stop by later. Anyways, what are you both looking for? " She asks for the main objective.

" Is Flurry still available or has someone already wanted to adopt him? " You ask. " Oh, flurry! " By coincidance, Flurry was walking around in the store.

Ms Rein picks him up and pets him before showing him to you. " I let him run free around here, he just has a lot of energy in him. " Isagi teasingly looks at you just to say that you have a lot of energy in yourself.

He mimicked the words and you rolled your eyes at him.

" Where did you find him? " You asked.

You knew Ms Rein was a good person. She always came by whenever. When mom was sick, hurt, or when your stupid brother had yelled at her. She came by everytime, taking care of her like you weren't there or had the strength to. All because you were a child. But you were thankful Ms Rein was there. If not, who would comfort your mom? She had to do what you couldn't do but, you appreciated her either way.

" I found him near a dumpster. He was all dirty and I just thought of bringing him back. You know how I am. I just can't seem to leave these little fur balls alone. " She laughs.

" Anywho.. " She drops off Flurry slowly. " So, you're thinking of adopting him? " She asks as she goes behind the counter. You looked at Isagi one last time for approval and he nods.

" Yup! " You say, smiling so brightly.

" Alright, I'll make sure everyone knows that Flurry is not so available anymore. " She says.

" Thank you, Ms Rein. " You say to her.

" You're welcome, anytime. " She replies.

She looks back at Flurry and kneels down in front of her. " Be a good boy. " She then pets him and looks at you. " He's kind of really energetic. So, I'm not sure if that's your type of cats. " Ms Rein says as she stands back up from the ground.

You lean on to the counter sideways. " I'm okay with any type of cat. " You laugh.

" Where's your boyfriend by the way? " Ms Rein asks as you look behind you and, gone.

Where in the world did he go?

You looked around the small pet shop and there he is, by the fish tanks.

You and Ms Rein walked over to find his interests.

You crossed your arms just in time for him to turn his head around and look at you. " What? " He asks.

" By the way, can we also get a fish? " He asks. " Do you count the amount of rice when you eat? "

A long pause shifted between you both. " So, that's a no? " He asks as you both stood silent.

" Do you think a cat and a fish is suited to be staying under the same roof? " You asked him again.

" No? "

" No. " You say.

" So, no? "

" No. " You repeated.

" Okay. " He says as he turns his whole body to the fish tanks and waved goodbye.

" That's probally all, Ms Rein. " You say.

" No, no! I can give you one of the fishes for free if you'd like, Isagi. " Ms Rein offers. " Really? " He asks. " Definietly! " She insisted.

" Ms Rein, It's fine. He doesn't need one. And plus, we don't have a fish tank at home. " You say.

" Nonsense! I can give you one right now. " Ms Rein says as she hurries to the back.

" Ms Rein! " You yell as you follow behind her and instantly felt a hang pulling you on the wrist.

You got pulled back and why of course, it was Isagi.

" Y/n, just let me have a fish. " He says. " I'll take good care of it like you take good care of me. " He plays.

A long silence faded between both.

" Fine. " You gave in.

Isagi smiled at you before Ms Rein returned back with the small fish tank.

" Thank you, Ms Rein. It was an honor to meet you again after some years. " You say as Isagi helps carry the things into the car.

" No worries. Love you, dear. Take care! " She yells as you exited the shop.
