MARIA'S POV :
Me and my family live in France, well except for my brother. Since he started to play for FC Barcelona and Spain's National Team he had to leave us and move to Spain.
I haven't seen him for the last 2 years, I miss him, a lot. So I asked my parents if I could leave them and go live with Pedri. At first, they said no, but after tons of discussions, they decided to finally let me go.

Fer drove me to the airport,
"Listen, I know how you can be. Don't overreact to stupid things, don't disrespect Pedri's teammates, don't have an attitude to everyone, and lastly, be careful. I know Pedri and Valeria will take care of you. But just in case."
Valeria also moved to Barcelona a couple of months ago. Which added one more reason I wanted to go.
"Fer, you're the one who's overreacting right now, I'll be just fine. Chill down."
I said hugging him.
We said one last goodbye and I went to my gate.
"There we go"
I mumbled softly as I walked into the plane.
The flight was 2 hours long. Two hours long of a baby crying, not letting me, or just anyone sleep. Luckily I had my headphones so I listened to some music while reading my book.
They reported that we were about to land in 15 minutes, finally. After 2 boring years, I was going to see my brother. He told me he'd introduce me to the team. luckily I already am kind of friends with Alejandro and Ansu, Ansu is like a brother to me, which only makes things easier.
I went to take my suitcases and walked out of my gate, searching for my brother.
There he is, texting someone on his phone and looking around.
I ran up to him and jumped him unexpectedly.
"The fuck- MARIA!"
"Glad you noticed who I am asshole, missed you so bad"
I said hugging him tight
We went to the car so he'd take me to his.
"No green mini cooper anymore?"
I asked
"It needed an upgrade."
He said smiling and opening the door to his car.
We talked a little while driving and while parking in front of his house he said,
"I have to go to Alejandro's house with another teammate for something, call Valeria over if you want to."
"Really?
I sighed
"The day I arrive?"
"I'll make it up to you by introducing you to the team tomorrow at practice?"
He said smiling
"Tell Ale I said hi."
I gave him a hug and got out of the car, my luggage was still in it so I wasn't able my clothes.
He gave me the keys to the house so I got in and messaged Vale immediately. Luckily she lived just 10 minutes away from here so it wouldn't take long for her to arrive.
I looked around the house a little and saw this picture of me and him as kids in a picture frame. Where'd all the time go?
As I put the picture back I heard the bell ring, which would probably be Vale.
I opened the door and there she was, she didn't change that much. Her hair is just darker and shorter.
"Finally, after 7 whole boring months"
She pulled me into a tight hug
"Missed you too"
I said letting go

We talked a little and it was like nothing happened, she's the type of person I could've had a long distance from for 2 years but nothing would change in our friendship. I went to get something to drink from the kitchen and she came with me. Val went to sit on the long chairs next to the counter as I filled my glass with Fanta.
"You remember Anna right?"
She asked
"yeah of course what about her?"
"She told me she went to a bar last night and saw this hot guy who she knew would be perfect for you so she gave him your number."
"She did what?"
I let a big gasp out
"I know, I know. I reacted the same"
It went silent for a couple of seconds
"But think about it in another way? Maybe it'll go well between you two and you never know, you two might.."
"Stop"
I said not letting her finish her sentence
I tried to process everything that just happened. I'm not that mad, it's just that she gave my number to a random stranger without even asking.
"I'm not mad just disappointed. He better not be a creep or something."
