"You look beautiful, I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees you." "Thanks ma but it's all thanks to you though." Jada said with a smile adorning her features.

Today was the day, the day where the love of her life and her were going to solidify their love and spend the rest of eternity together. Ever since she was proposed to, Jada has been filled with nothing but ecstasy waiting for the day to finally come.

While Jada's mother, Mrs. Williams, was getting her finishing touches done there was a knock on the door. "You can't keep all the beauty in there for y'all selves now." Says my dad as he waits impatiently to see me in my wedding gown. "See while you rushing us, she already done. Banging on the door like you ain't got no sense." "Don't get tough now you know I can still knock you out." "Now you know you lost every fight you been in don't even try that." Jada laughs as my parents bicker while my mom's on the way to open the door for her dad.

As she opens the door, her dad takes one good look at her and his eyes well up. "You've grown up way to fast you was just 16 asking for driving lessons and now look and you about to get married." He says with a chuckle while trying to not let his tears flow. He would always say he's a "pimp", and pimps don't cry. "Now dad you know I'm still gonna visiting. I only live 30 minutes away so you know I'll stop by." Jada said as she hugged him. He squeezed her and asked me if she was ready and she nodded my head.

As they were about to walk through the double doors, someone rushed through with a worried look on their face. "Maleek what's wrong?" Her dad asked as he sensed the panic in her brother. "He's not here." "What do you means he's not here?" "Taehyung's not here, he never showed up I've called him multiple times to see what the hold up was and they're going straight to voicemail!" All three of the family members just looked at Jada as she stood there dumbfounded. What does he mean he didn't show up. He was just on the phone with her last night telling her how excited he was, how he couldn't wait to get married and spend the rest of their lives together.

Her eyes started to well up in tears and her dad started calling Taehyung non stop, threatening him to be here so we can get on with the wedding. In the midst of the chaos, she walks through the double doors seeing both sides of their families. They gasp upon seeing her in the room when nothing has started yet, and with the fact that her husband to be is no where to be found. Mrs. Kim comes up to her with a bright smile trying to ease the tension saying, "I can't wait till the reception, I've made the gift you asked me to he's gonna be so excited when he finds out your expecting!" "He's not here." Jada whispered with tears cascading down her face. "What?" Mrs. Kim says, her smile dropping instantly. Walking up to the conversation, Mr. Kim sees he's wife's change in demeanor. "What's going on, when will the wedding start?"

As soon as those words left his mouth, Mr. Williams burst through the door demanding Mr. Kim for answers. "Where is he, why isn't he here?" "What do you mean, I just got off the phone with him a couple hours ago and he said he was on his way." "We'll he lied to you cause he never showed up, looks like someone finna die." "Whoa let's not get unrational here." As they started to argue everyone was staring starting to whisper. Jada gets a tap on her shoulder, turning around it's her and Taehyung's good friend Jimin. "Hey I don't know what's going on, but I was supposed to give you this before everything got started he wanted you to read before you walked down the isle." She grabs the letter and nothing could prepare her for what she was about to read.

       Jada,
We've been together for 5 years and at the beginning those were some of the best years of my life. But as time continued to roll by, loving you was something that I just couldn't do anymore. You weren't what I needed and I didn't want to regret settling for someone I knew I didn't want anymore, so I stepped out. It took a while, but I finally found the woman I truly wanted. She's everything I could have ever wanted, even in the areas you were lacking, she had it all. I regret nothing that involved me finding her and how she's become one of the best things in my life. She made me the man that I truly can be, you just weren't that at all. I want to thank you though, because if it weren't for you I wouldn't have found her at all. I'm sorry but it just wasn't meant to be. I wish you nothing but happiness, as I have finally found mine.
Sincerely, Taehyung

As everyone in the arena started talking at once and asking questions about what's going on, Jada could only focus on what she just read how she didn't see the signs sooner. She was so blinded by the love that she had for this man, that every red flag that he sent turned pink. She can't believe that she had given everything she could, every single sacrifice she had made to be with him only to be betrayed in the end.

All the noise became white, and all Jada could think as she sobbed was,

"If only I had seen the signs I wouldn't have to carry this burden and embarrassment of heartbreak."
