EXT. BAYBORO MAIN STREET - DAWN - ESTABLISHING
The morning sun shines high over Bayboro Townsquare. Cars come to life, townsfolk stir as the picture postcard community awakensfrom a restless sleep.
INT. KITCHEN - MORNING
Sidney and Tatum sit at the kitchen table, with Katherine staring behind them dressed and ready for school as Mama Riley serves up breakfast. A small television sits on the counter blaring .
Dewey, in uniform, stands near the door, talking on the phone.
"I think you girls really should stay home today." Miss Riley says handing a plate of food to each girl
"Your objection is duly noted." Tatum says looking at Sid and kat
"We would rather be around a lot of people, Mama Riley." Sidney says speaking for her sister also
From the TV, Sidney and Katherine hears her name, "Sidney and Katherine Prescott " All eyes go to the television.
"who escaped a vicious attack last night was the daughter of Maureen Prescott who was brutally killed last year when convicted murderer Cotton Weary-" the tv reporter says as both girls look sick
INSERT of Cotten weary in prison fatigues. A once handsome man, now haggard and worn.
"broke into their home and savagely raped and tortured the deceased. Cotton Weary is currently awaiting appeal for the death sentence handed down after the young Sidney and Katherine testified against him. There where the key witness in the state's prosecution.
"Oh my god" Minerva McGonagall says starting at the screen in horror
"It's never gonna stop. Is it?" Sidney says to her sister
"I don't think it will" Katherine mumbles
Dewey is off the phone.
"Billy was released. His cellular bill was clean. He didn't make those calls." Billy says to Katherine who looks realized to hear that information
"Somebody called us, Dewey. I'm not making it up." Sidney says looking at her sister for help
"She's right I was the person who answered the phone" Katherine says setting down her fork
"I know. We're checking every cellular account in the county. Any calls made to either one of you or Casey Becker are being cross- referenced. It's gonna take time but we'll find him." Dewey says looking at the three girls
"I don't think we have time" Sidney mumbles
"And my Dad? Any word on him?" Sidney ask looking hopefully at Dewey
