-Amber's POV-
TOO MUCH LIGHT IN THIS WINDOW, DON'T WAKE ME UP. ONLY COFFEE, NO SUGAR, INSIDE MY CUP.
The voice of Chris Brown, ran through my ears waking me from my slumber as it played loudly on my phone. 'Don't Wake Me Up' was the song I had chosen for my alarm, as it almost was funny how the lyrics was exactly how I felt as I woke up, yet each morning that certain song was the sound that stirred me from my dream.
Pausing the music, staring at the ceiling was the only fun thing that I could be bothered to do at that minute. As I rolled around in my bed, I ended up laying on my stomach deciding on whether I should dare to look at the clock which sat on my bed side table. Peeking one eye open, a sigh escaped my lips as I read the time was now 7:06am. My head plopped straight back on my pillow as I remembered what today was, everyone was knew this day was going to come but nobody knew how fast the day would come around.
The summer holidays were now gone and today was the first day back to school. The only thing that was going to get me out of bed was if someone was to come along to grab my leg and pull me, as I didn't think or see that ever happening, I guess the only other option was to go back to sleep.
"AMBER! GET YOUR LAZY BUTT OUT OF BED!" I heard a very familiar voice cry, they didn't seem close but I could make out every single sound that the voice belonged to one of my best friends, Savannah, or who liked to be called Sav.
I almost forgot, as school came back, the tradition that my two best friends and I had came along with it. Every single morning, without fail, Natasha, Savannah and myself would all video chat to just catch up before we all met up at school, but most importantly, we all ran by each other what clothes we would be wearing to school that certain day.
My best friends and I all had very similar fashion sense, and at least two of us owned the same top or the same pair of jeans or skirt, and it would be the worst thing to turn up and to be wearing the exact same. 6 hours of walking around next to each other in the same outfit would just be pure embarrassment. There were already two twins at our school who turned up every day wearing the same thing, and they wondered why they weren't very popular. Everyone thought it was down to the mother's choice of clothing and that still at the age of 16, the girls still had their mother dress them but really, the twins both had the same sense of fashion and could never decide what to wear each morning individually, so just wore the same thing.
I know what you're thinking, only popular girls video chat each morning and discuss what to wear as if their life revolved around their image. But, trust me, my friends and I were nowhere even close to that.
A just audible morning escaped my lips as I dragged my duvet over my body to reveal my legs. If you haven't guessed, I was not a morning person and choosing to go to sleep at half 1 in the morning last night, was not my brightest idea. I shuffled over to my computer desk to see two smiling faces on my desktop looking at me.
One belonged to my best friend, Natasha Collins, who was probably one of the cutest people I knew. She had such a petite frame and her body was the type that all the girls at our school wanted. Tash didn't seemed bothered about her figure at all though. She was able to eat anything she wanted at any given time and never put anything on. The girl had such an adorable laugh that could brighten up anyone's day and was the type of girl that if you saw her upset, you would want to just go up and hug her, even if it had nothing to do with you.
On the other hand, next to Tash's face on the screen, was Savannah Collins or Sav. Sav was the complete opposite. The girl was just as nice, and I love her exactly the same as I did Tash, but Sav was the more daring type. Out of us three, she is the one that is most likely to offer herself up for anything, before even knowing what it was. She seeked adventure and that was the thing I loved about her most. However, Sav did have a deep caring side, that not many people knew she had. I had been friends with her longer than I had with Tash, and I definitely could trust her with anything. Her smile always made me feel better and she always knew what to say, even if I didn't want to hear it.
