Subjects and defiance neither of those fit the position of what I think of neighbor. I may not know neighbor's name yet, and then again, I probably do know what neighbor's name is, but even if I did or didn't I still think that neighbor has a good heart.

Why didn't you scream at me when I kept staring at you? Why didn't you call me a creep? Why didn't you get frightened by my appearance?

Everything that has been said is strictly impossible to believe! Does neighbor know who I am? No.. that would be impossible, and without warning, I held and kissed neighbor's hand. Why?..

Why did I do that to neighbor?

*Ring* *Ring*

My phone is going off again, but I don't have any friends here. Not yet, at least, so who would have my phone number?

I sighed heavily, picking up the phone and preparing for a prank phone call since that's apparently a thing in this state. This place doesn't seem friendly for someone like me.

"Hello? Hello?" I answered the phone, waiting for the other voice on the other line to speak. Yet no one was answering the call.

"Heh- hello! I'm sorry for not answering. I think I called the wrong number, my bad, I'm so sorry!" The voice spoke, sounding just like neighbor, my face started to brighten up, my lips forming into a smile.

"Neighbor! Hello! How are you?" I say with such excitement, hoping I don't upset neighbor.

"Oh- is this that guy I met at school yesterday?" They said nervously. Neighbor didn't seem to have liked my presents very well since every time I was around, they would always be uncomfortable with me.

"Yes, neighbor, but don't hang up!" I said frantically wanting to be on call with neighbor was something great full, hearing their voice was lovely.

"Oh- but I need to call my parent to let her know I'm on my way home from skate club." They said, sounding out of order.

They sounded upset while speaking with me, and I was sure that I was yet again making them uncomfortable.

"Neighbor, it's fine to have called me. Actually, I was thinking we could hang out today. Is that possible, neighbor?" I said my tone, sounding excited about my own idea. Neighbor was quiet for a few minutes, I guess they were talking to someone else. I felt my blood boil when I heard a males voice in the background telling neighbor off as they talked back to him. I was experiencing anger inside myself.

"Uhm, actually, do you have a car? And if you do, could you please come pick me up and get me out of here?" Neighbor said, making my heart thump in my chest.

What is this impowerment? Why is it taking over my mind? My eyes looked down at the keyboard on my phone. I swallowed harshly before speaking.

"Yes, neighbor, I'll come get you." I said finally was I heard a crashing sound from neighbor's side of the phone call. They started shouting at the male. I felt that same anger feeling from a few minutes ago boil inside me again. I need to get to neighbor before something bad happens to them.

"Thanks, I'll see you soon and please HURRY!" Neighbor said in a not so pleasant tone of voice as they hung up the phone. I swallowed down once more, getting my shoes on and rushing out the door. I didn't have time for dilly-dollying as I ran out of my new house. I ran down the sidewalk rushing towards neighbor's school building, I forgot neighbor wanted me to bring my car. I rolled my eyes, not worrying about that.

My concern was making sure neighbor was safe and sound, in my arms and away from that pesky rat! I ran towards the school, slipping on a few rocks, causing my exhaustion to increase as I kept myself up from the slip-up. While running, I saw neighbor and a smile forced itself on my lips, making me happy that they were okay. It eventually turned into anger once I saw that man place his hands on neighbor's chest, pushing them backward.

I made towards neighbor and pushed the man off of them, my anger flooding through my veins. He couldn't see me, could he?

"Wha- what the hell?! Why did you do that!?" The man shouted at neighbor. I was tired but I wasn't going to let him harm neighbor, I may have just met them today but I felt like I connected with them in a caring way, maybe there was something else that I was feeling?

I shook my head from my thoughts, standing my ground in front of the man and neighbor. Nothing was going to get in my way of protecting them, and no one was going to harm them. Not now, not ever!

"Neighbor, are you okay?" I ask them as they grab my arm and pull me close to them. I felt red in the face. What is this feeling?

"I'm okay now." they said, holding my arm tighter as they nuzzled into it. My cheeks started burning up as they held my arm, I couldn't keep my eyes off them. This was pure pleasure to my mind, I couldn't help but smile at them, and since they are the only ones that can see me, this was perfectly fine with me. I pulled them closer to me, hugging them as I felt my heart beat faster in my chest and not from running, pun intended.

"Thank you for coming, Wally. I needed you." They said softly.

Oh, Neighbor. . . You're safe with me always. I will be there to protect you from the bad people.
