The day was Monday, a day hated by many. But, strangely enough, a certain divorce attorney loved Mondays. It was a new start, and breath of fresh air.

A day where he could push himself to do better than he did the previous week.

Kim Taehyung is the name of that attorney. It held so much power to those who spoke it. He was the best attorney in the city of New York. Alongside his best friend, Min Yoongi, he owned the most popular law firm in the state. Maybe it had to do with his devilishly good looks, but Taehyung liked to believe it was because of the hard work he has done over the years.

"Good morning Mr. Kim" a short blonde woman spoke as the attorney walked in his building. She had a warm smile and bright eyes, she was the perfect person to be
at the front desk exactly for that reason.

"Good morning Noa," Taehyung spoke back to her kindly. He was a morning person, so there was no trouble that came with speaking to his legal receptionist.

"Is Mr.Min here?," even though the man was his friend, Taehyung refrained from calling him by his first name, it felt like he was disrespecting the business the two built.

But don't be confused, Taehyung definitely doesn't call him "Mr.Min" outside of the office, that would be way too kinky.

"He informed me that he would be running behind due to a virtual meeting he had to attend," hearing those words made the corner of Taehyung's lips twitch upward and his eye brow raise. Punctuality was something Taehyung was a stickler for. He was never late, he always got to his location at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time. He had been that way since graduate school.

Once, he was running late to his Communications class. He walked in three minutes late and sat right in the back (opposition to his usual seat in the front). He thought everything was going smoothly, but after the lecture was over his professor called him out and told him that he would not be receiving credit for the upcoming assignment that was discussed in class.

After that, Taehyung was never late again. A hard lesson but he learned quickly.

"When should I expect his presence?" Taehyung was a tad bit tense, but tried not to let it show because it will make Noa anxious in fear that she did something wrong.

"Around 1pm sir," it was 12:39pm, so Yoongi would not be too late, so Taehyung loosened up and fixed his expression back to the pleasant one he had prior to receiving the unfortunate news.

Nothing else needed to be said between the lawyer and the receptionist, so Taehyung walked in the elevator and pressed the button to the 20th floor; where his office was located.

Before he could set his briefcase and brown trench coat down, his paralegal was there to free him from his belongings.

"Sorry Mr. Kim, I was on the line with Mrs. Johnson regarding serving the divorce papers to her husband. The call ran longer than I anticipated, I would have met you in the lobby," Cameron. The name of Kim Taehyung's one and only paralegal. Freshly graduated from Columbia University and very eager to please.

"No worries Mr. Daniels, I am perfectly capable of carrying my own things," Taehyung walked into his office after the door was opened by Cameroon.

His office was neat and minimalistic. No chair was twisted, the square pillows that had geometric patterns were fluffed, and it smelt like burnt cinnamon.

Cameron folded his body in a bow as a form of acknowledgment.

"What is on the agenda for today?" Taehyung did not like to know about the excruciatingly long day he had ahead of himself, until he was settled in his office.
