Aaliyah

I awoke in a huge white room on a white and gold bed, nothing like my own. As I looked to my right I saw that there was a window with gold framing and a grayish-white nightstand it.

I sat up, the blanket falling of me. An instant chill ran over me and I shivered. I was so cold it felt as though I wasn't wearing a thing.

Maybe that's because I'm NOT!? I think to myself as I look down, quickly taking the blanket and covering myself a bit.

As I studied the room more, looking to the left, I screamed, bringing my knees to my chest covering myself more.

Kuroka and Obsidian were sitting beside the bed, Obsidian staring at my chest mouth agape, before quickly going "Shhh! Shut up!"

Kuroka sat with her legs crossed, looking down with her hand on her mouth, eyes closed, as she blushed furiously.

In a few seconds we heard the doors open with a loud bang. The king and queen stood at the entrance.
"Is everything okay? We heard scre..." The king trailed off as he saw me, quickly averting his gaze to the floor.

The queen, on the other hand, looked furious. "Twins, what are you doing in here?" She yelled, "I specifically said, do not come in here."

"We didn't know she was naked!" Obsidian said, trying and failing to defend himself and Kuroka.

"We told you!" The queen answered.

Obsidian looked down, thinking, before his eyes widened. "Oh shi.."

"No cursing." The queen interrupted. "Now. Out! All of you!"

"Yep." The king said, and was the first to leave, his eyes still trained on the ground. Obsidian had to basically carry Kuroka because she was still frozen, for whatever reason.

Once they were all out the queen quickly shut the doors and made her way to the edge of the bed, sitting down. "Poor dear," she said, "are you okay? I should've stayed in here until you woke up."

"I'm alright, it's not your fault. But if I may ask, who took of my clothes? And why?" I asked.

"I did. And I did it because if I didn't you would have overheated. After I unlocked your memories, restoring your power, it was too much for your body to handle all at once, causing you to heat up. Nobody could touch you without burning themselves, so it was a bit of a struggle." She laughed as she explained.

I almost asked if she had done anything to me, but then I remembered not everyone was like my father. So I just nodded, before remembering my scars.

"Just in case you were going to ask, no, I won't ask you what all of those scars are from. Unless you want to tell me." She said before I could.

"Right, I forgot you can read my mind." I said, looking at the blanket.

"Actually, no. For some reason, only the twins can read your mind. Our telepathy doesn't work on you, we don't know why."

"Oh." I said, starting to wonder why they couldn't. "They are from my father." I said quietly.

I could feel her eyes on me, and I wondered what she was thinking. She was probably thinking I did something to deserve it, which, in a way, I guess I did?

Suddenly I heard a the bed sheets shift and felt arms around me. She was hugging me. I tensed, I am always scared of contact, especially from people I do not know.

"I'm sorry." She finally said. "I'm so sorry, you shouldn't have had to go through that."

I sighed. Honestly, from the very few people who knew, I was tired of the apologies. It was never their fault, so they didn't need to apologize.
