Chapter 3

"My lady, you and the King look good together" Ae Cha giggles while walking next to me, as we are heading our way from the eastern part of the palace where my chamber is located.

Tss Ae Cha why do you have to recall what happened earlier geez, my blood boils, and rolled my eyes remembering everything because of annoyance from that shameless beast argggggggg!!!

Earlier that day

After we finally meet each other for the first time, my brain which was still in the process of calculating and understanding everything, and hardly can't believe what my eyes had perceived until this moment. That the King...... which is no other than Kim Taehyung.... happened to look like Vincent...... Vincent Kim which is my closet friend in my time and umm the man whom I secretly ...... never mind

He motioned us to sit beside him and ask the servants to get us something to eat. I lowered my head a little and keep my mouth shut, patiently waiting for someone to speak a word. But to my dismay, everyone is determined to be quiet, so I slightly raised my head to see what they are doing out of my curiosity...... I slightly flinched because, at the same moment that I look at the King's side he was looking in my direction too!! thump thump thump ... I could feel my heart beating abnormally, so I look away immediately. But as soon as I broke eye contact between us, I remembered that I couldn't get to see any trace of a smile across his lips but a serious and mysterious cold aura that could kill a thousand lives...... his eyes were pertaining something and it's very dangerous to look at it. He may be a lot like Vincent... But they will never be the same.... Never.... Something is bothering me about this man, and I know I should be careful... and distance myself as much as possible.

A while later, my father breaks the silence between us and casually asks the king about his plans for our country.

Taehyung's Pov

I took a sip of my tea while secretly gazing at her. I remembered how she was quite astonished to find that I was gazing at her. There is a sudden joy inside my heart but It didn't last. I should keep my cold and authoritative image as much as possible, even from the queen. I had to be cautious with every action I took. There were many threats and criminals within the government that I had to catch and deal with. It was a constant battle, and I couldn't afford to let my guard down. So, I have to be careful about trusting anybody because my life and the future of my country depend on me.

After a while, I could feel the weight of Master Song's gaze on me, and I was already expecting him to ask me questions, and guess what my instinct was right. He asks me about what my plans for our country are.

So, I took a deep breath, gathering my thoughts before answering. "My priority, first and foremost, is to ensure the safety and prosperity of our people. To that end, I plan to implement policies that will increase trade and commerce, improve our infrastructure, and promote education and literacy throughout the kingdom."

I saw a flicker of interest in my father in laws eyes while looking at me, and I continued. "I also believe in the importance of maintaining strong diplomatic relationships with neighboring kingdoms and countries. We must work together to address the challenges facing our region and ensure a stable and peaceful future for all."

He nodded thoughtfully, and I knew that I had his attention. "And what about our military forces?" Master Song asked. "How do you plan to ensure their strength and readiness in times of conflict?"

I smiled, feeling a sense of pride in my military advisors and our troops. "Our military is the backbone of our nation, and I am committed to ensuring that they are well-equipped and well-trained to defend our kingdom against any threats. We will continue to invest in new technologies and training programs, and work closely with our allies to ensure our collective security."
