waking up at the sound of your alarm clock, you snuggled closer into your bedsheets wanting to bottle up the warmth and stay home but you couldn't
you made yourself some coffee after doing your morning routine, you sat on your balcony overlooking the gorgeous view of Brooklyn, NYC.
after your breakup with pedri, you and your best friend decided to move to the states to forget and move on. you deleted every trace of your social media, changed your phone number, email addresses in order to conceal your whereabouts.
the chirping of the birds brought you back to your surroundings, you smiled at the beautiful scenery in front of view, you knew you were at peace.
after moving away from barcelona, it was tough bouncing back after what happened but you found strength in those around you, supporting you through every decision you made and it filled your heart with pure love.
finishing up the coffee, you headed back inside to get ready for a morning walk through the streets to start the day. as you walked past the shops smelling the aroma of different pastries you came across a new shop. you took the risk and went in to order
you sat at a small table overlooking the outside, sipping on your second coffee and eating a sweet pastry when you noticed a group of guys walking by, you didn't think anything of it until they walked into the establishment you were in
one began ordering and you easily picked up on who it was, you sat still hoping it wasn't who you thought it was. you gathered your items not taking any chances and got ready to leave, as you made your way out you saw him, but he didn't see you.
you took no second glances and began your way back to your apartment. you heard footsteps from behind you and your first instinct was to run but then they yelled, "Y/N!"
your feet stopped moving on their own accord, it was Gavi. you recognized the spaniards accent when he yelled, you didn't want to turn around but you did. You noticed Gavi a few feet away from you, a small smile on his face while yours held no emotion.
just coming up behind him was raphinha and fer, pedri's brother. Gavi walked forward to get closer but you moved a few steps backwards, with a frown Gavi spoke, "H-Hey," he stuttered
you looked at him with an unreadable face, "Hi" you whispered. You felt the guilt eating at you for leaving and not saying bye but they were there with him the night he cheated,
Fer cleared his throat, "We are sorry, we didn't mean to hide it from you. He kept on telling us he would tell you and we wanted him to tell you."
you looked at their faces and you can see guilt in their eyes, you believed them. "Okay,"
nothing else was spoken afterwards, and the silence was eating at you. you turned to walk back to the apartment until gavi spoke up, "Can we have one last hug before we never see each other again?"
looking down at your feet you took a deep breath and nodded at them, "Yes." They all came rushing towards you and hugged you as their life depended on it, afraid that you would slip past their grasp to never be seen again, except it was the last time.
eventually they slowly let go of you, letting you have your space. you gave them all one last nod and turn on your heels and back towards the direction of your apartment,

the further she walked, the further away she was. she had been hurt by all of us, we had been there for her since before the start of her and Pedri's relationship, and now she was walking away from us.
it was almost as if she had taken a piece of our heart and soul with her, i felt guilty, empty, void of any emotion at the moment. i couldn't believe i had let my best friend fool me, us into hiding this from her
footsteps could be heard behind us, but we all kept our eyes towards her silhouette that became smaller and smaller as she continued to walk away,
"hey, why are you all standing here?" asked a breathless pedri, we all looked at him and just walked past him
Pedri was hot on my heels, "was it her? is she here?" he questioned
"it was no one," we all responded simultaneously
"please tell me it was her, i'll go and chase after her right now. just please tell me it was her," he pleaded
he was already getting me upset so i turned back to face him,"you wouldn't have been in this situation had you not cheated in the first place, you did not deserve her kind soul, her beautiful smiles, laughter, her attending every game of ours. she was always there for you, yet you went on to cheat, that is what you are a cheater, you're pathetic,"
I jabbed my index finger into his chest, upset that he was pleading like a fool a mere two seconds ago after his fuck up. I took a deep breath in and walked away onto the streets of Brooklyn. After-all we lied, and he was the cheater.
