Hello~ I am back. Hopefully this chapter will be more interesting and stuff. I have a lot of ideas I just need to get to them! DX Ok, I don't really know. Hope you like it! By the way, I have a devianart account! If you want to see my drawings of these characters, just click here: http://saturnspaz.deviantart.com/ Alright! Let's get to it!
After yesterday's practice, everyone knew they were getting into something risky. Main reason being they had their own group of "miracles" to deal with. The other reason being that they were a brand new team, so their practices were going to be harsh and thorough. Or, so they've heard. They had yet to see their coach, but rumor has it that he was very strict and observant. One mistake and he caught it. The team could feel the pressure already.
On the other hand, they still had classes to attend. To Ienari's dismay, she had gotten one of the most boring teachers in the school. His voice was always dull and monotoned, no one could possibly stay awake in that class! Luckily, she could get a few zs before class started. As she rested her head on her hand, she heard someone say, "Hey, Ienari," so she took a peek. Beside her desk, she saw a girl with baby blue, most likely died, hair that was short in the back and long in the front. Her eyes were a bit slanted, with her bottom eyelashes being a little longer than the top. Ienari sat up with little to no interest.
"Do you need something, or...?" She said trying to get her to talk.
"Not really. I just wanted to know if you knew about today's practice or not." She said scratching her cheek with a goofy, but cute, smile.
"Today's practice? Oh, you're on the basketball team?" She inquired suddenly getting interested. Just mention basketball and she's gone. The girl nodded with a smile.
"Yeah! I'm a small forward on the team!" She said proudly directing her thumbs at herself and winking. Well this chick seemed to be very optimistic. She could get used to it.
"Small forward, huh? Well, that seems to be a good fit for you...um..." Crap, she didn't know the girl's name! Please say she didn't say it yet, or did she and she wasn't paying attention? Ienari made a contorted face as she couldn't quite remember the girl's name. That's when she saw the girl playfully smack her forehead.
"Oh, silly me! I haven't properly introduced myself!" She laughed it off and held out her hand. "Sugihara Erika at your service!" Ienari gladly took it with a sigh of relief. Thank god she didn't actually forget her teammate's name!
"Ienari Yue," She said shaking it. "Nice to meet you."
"Oh, no, I already know your name. You're one of those 'duplicates' from Ikebana." Ienari blinked in surprise. She couldn't quite get used to the fact that every freshman knew her name. She chuckled.
"Yeah, well, that's a thing of the past now." She said leaning back in her seat. She had to admit, she did obtain good memories from middle school, but now she had to worry about high school. She couldn't keep herself trapped in past memories. Wait a second, didn't she mention something about practice? "Hey, uh, you said something about practice, right?"
"Oh, yeah! Some of the second and third years are saying that today's practice is going to be rough, since the coach is coming and all." Oh yeah, she's heard about that. She didn't know too much about it, as she usually blocked out other people's conversations, but he was supposedly a college basketball player turned instructor. And, the quickest rumor spread, that he was precise and wasn't a slack off kind of guy. Meaning, he wasn't going to mess around when it came to practice.
"Sorry, can't help ya." She admitted. "I know just as much as you do." Sugihara groaned upon hearing this.
"Man! I guess we'll just have to hope for the best." She said still groaning.
