Would You Like to Know a Secret?

Part 2

  Today was Wednesday. They came back to the music room to practice for two hours together before going home. Jeno and Donghyuck just got done setting up their instruments when Jaemin walked in.

  "Sorry for being late, guys. Someone needed help on their homework," he said as he hurried to a chair.

  The two smiled at him. Oh, he was such a helpful and kind person. He was perfect. "It's okay," Donghyuck said in a small voice caused by his nervousness.

  "Ah, thank you. It'll just take me a moment to set up." Jaemin pieced the pieces of his clarinet together carefully and threw them both apoligetic smiles from here to there. And in less than a minute, he was done.

  "Okay, let's get into practice," he said. The three started practicing with a certain boy, Jeno, having his mind wander to what he would  when he got home. He was far into his mind to the point that he continued playing after the other two stopped. Donghyuck wanted to laugh, but today, he didn't have the energy. Tests were draining.

  "Jeno?" Jaemin called out. The oldest stopped playing.

  "Yeah?"

  "You can stop. We're only practicing the first sheet today."

  "Oh, yeah. Sorry."

  "It's okay. Let's go again."

  The three continued their practice until their time was up. Jaemin felt proud of their little trio and let out a happy sigh. "Thank you guys for working so hard with me. It means a lot. We're going to kill that stage," he confidently said with a smile.

  Jeno and Donghyuck looked at him with stars in their eyes. They nodded with conviction at Jaemin. The youngest gave the two high-fives, and they swore they'd never wash their hands ever again.
