The Confession

Chapter 4

"So, telling me Mario decided to take the Rv for his own amusement?" Smg3 said annoyed over the phone.

Smg4 let out an awkward chuckle, "Yep you know Mario."

Smg3 sighed. "That's it I'm coming over. Where are you? The showgrounds?"

"Uh, yeah no about that. That thing is being inspected by the scary monitor. I'm by the park that's at the edge of the city."

Even though Four couldn't see Three, it still felt like he pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'll be right there." He hung up after that.

Four gave a thumbs up to the crew. "Alright Three is on his way."

"Alrighty!" Mario cheered "Let's go Smg34 crew!"

As they set out into action Four swore heard Meggy letting out a deadpanned, "We're not calling ourselves that."

Just then a portal appeared and Three stepped out. He let out a huff. "How is Mario our avatar again?"

Four laughed at that, already feeling his face blushing. God, he has it so bad for this man. "No clue, uh, since you're here want to hang out for a bit?"

Smg3 shrugged "Sure, got nothing else going on today anyways."

"Great!" Four grabbed his hand. "Let's go!" He pulled him and Three into the park.

"Hey! Stop pulling on my hand!" However, it seems Threes words fell deaf to Four. Smg4 finally let's go of Three's hand once they reached their first stop, the duck pond. Tari and Boopkins were also there feeding the ducks some peas from a freezer bag.

Tari turned to face the two meme guardians. "Hey Smg4 and Smg3, we were just feeding the ducks want to join?"

"Sure." Smg4 held out his hand and Tari gave him a few of the peas.

"Wait, don't ducks usually eat bread? Why are you guys feeding them peas?" Smg3 looked to the duck pond looking at Four offering the peas to a mallard duck. He looked so adorable.

"Oh, that's easy." Boopkins piped up. "Bread is bad for them."

"Uh, not necessarily," Tari began "Shroomy told us ducks can eat bread but, only in moderation."

A mallard came close to Boopkins. "Aw, hi little guy. Do you want some peas?" Suddenly the duck stood up revealing its massive muscle body making it twice the size of everyone. The duck grabbed Boopkins, choking him while doing so. "Ahhh! Guys save me!" The poor fish shouted at the top of his gills.

Three and Four noped right out of there not wanting to get involved with the chaos. Tari screaming and hitting which did nothing to the strange muscular duck. Meanwhile, from the bushes were Mario, Meggy, X, and Fm who watched in horror. "What the hell do we do in this situation!?" X yelled. This was not part of the plan.

Mario was unfazed as ever. "I'm sure he's fine! They're just playing." 

 Meggy rolled her eyes and took out a splatterscope aiming directly at the muscular body with a duck for a head and shot point blank. The ink hitting right in the duck's face, which caused him to fall over and letting go of Boopkins in the progress. The fish let out a muffled groan to show he was alive. Tari looked over to bushes to see her friends there. 

Mario put out his arms in front of him. "You didn't see anything." He said as they all slowly disappeared into the bushes. Leaving a terrified, confused Tari and an exhausted Boopkins.

Meanwhile, the meme guardians finally slowed down after running away from... whatever that was. "Dude." Three was still out of breath. "What the hell was that?"

"I don't know!" Four tried to calm his racing heart. 'Goddammit!' he agnerly thought. 'Today was supposed to be relaxing.'

Three let out a big sigh, he looked like he was about to say something when his phone started to ring. He glared at the screen and let out an annoyed huff. "I'll be right back. I need to take this call."

The Smg34 crew finally caught up to the meme guardians. "It seems we need to split up." Mario oohed. The rest of the Smg34 crew looked at Mario liked he grew a second head. "What?"

"Seems like a good idea to me." That got the crews attention. Four was looking off at the direction where Three went to go take his call. 'I kinda forgot the possibility that Three could be in a relationship.' The meme man looked dejected.

"Alright, Mario, You and I will go after Three. Fm and X you two stay here with Smg4." Meggy was already on the move, with the red plumber behind her.

Luckily, Smg3 didn't go too far from where Smg4 was. So, it was easy for them to hide in some more bushes. Three seemed pissed, clearly not wanting to talk to whoever was on the other side of the phone. 

However, Mario could also see the edgy meme man shaking a bit.

"How many times do I got to tell you it was almost ten years ago! Just please stop fucking calling me!" He was quiet for a moment, suddenly his face changed into a scowl. "Call me one more time and I'll kick your ass." Three growled out.

 Mario and Meggy looked at each other in shock with the same question in mind.

Who the hell did Three just talked to?

Author's note: Whoever the person on the phone and who they were talking about was definitely not foreshadowing. 😉

Edit -10/6/2023: I changed how Three reacted towards... the person he was talking on the phone from annoyed to slightly scared. Why? To better fit the dynamic these two, have.
