He teased her.

She pushed his arm.

He couldn't help the grin.
- well you are the only ugly man I see every day.
- ugly, huh? That's why you be staring at my ugly face whenever you think that I'm not looking.
- you must be dreaming sir, you wish I stare at you.

The silence remained after that, hardly any sound could be heard around, soon enough they made it to her place.
- here we are friend, get some rest, maybe I'll see you tomorrow.
- do you want to see my ugly face tomorrow as well?
- (loud laugh) I do, go inside please so I can go back home and get some rest as well.
He walked closer opening his arms to give her a brief squeeze, his action took her by surprise.
- what has gotten into you?

- I'm happy that I have you around, I'm always alone or with that lady with the big mouth.

- I'm just joking, you are a great friend y/n, I like to have you around.

- ok, now that we have that cleared up, go inside please, still have to walk back home.

She waved one last time before walking inside the house.
- I'm the worst friend ever.
She said as her back leaned against the door.
- imo is right, I have to speak with him.
She finally moved away from the door making her way to the bedroom.
- I had the best time with them today.

This pattern didn't change in the next few months, y/n's one year anniversary was around the corner, she couldn't believe that it had been a year since she began to work at the warehouse, almost a year since she met Jungkook, but also a year lying to him, hiding the truth about who she is, she didn't know how to even face his mother, because she felt embarrassed.
He was on vacation with his mother of course, she felt his absence, but also in certain way she felt a little jealous because she didn't have anyone to go on vacation anywhere with.
She was getting ready to work like every night for the past year, the only difference tonight, there was no Jungkook who walked with her almost every night, he had just made it home from a short trip to Japan that he had planned out with his mother.
- mom, I'm going to walk y/n to work.
- we just got here.
- still don't like for her to walk alone at this time of the night.

She smiled at him, who nodded his head before walking out the door.
Jungkook made his way to y/n's house, who was just coming down the steps as she placed her feet on the sidewalk a hand wrapped around her wrist.

She was ready to swing her free hand but he blocked it.

- why aren't you resting then? I appreciate the gesture but you didn't have to do that, I can fend on my own.

He said turning around, feet already moving to go back home.
- I missed you.
She said quietly but he still heard her, so she stopped.

She wondered when he turned.

She tried to hide her face.

He said with a smile.
- how is imo doing, did she enjoy herself?
- yes she did, that lady almost didn't want to come back.

- I'm leaving now, I have to work, you are still on vacation sir, so go home and get some rest.

- I got something for you, since your weekend starts in the morning stop by the house so I can give it to you, I walked out of the house in a hurry so I forgot.
- I will, I'll bring you breakfast then.
- no need that lady probably will cook breakfast before she leaves to the shop.
- tell her not to, I'll bring breakfast for the both of you.
- I will but I won't make promises that she will listen.
- oh well is not like we can force her to listen.
She laughed, he didn't give up, he just walked with her all the way to the warehouse.
- here you are young lady, now I'm leaving.
- aigoo, I didn't even realize that you walked with me all the way here.
- yeah, because we were running out mouths like two girlfriends.

She covered her mouth.

She said opening the door walking inside quickly.
- you better be glad that I don't have my badge so I can't open the door.
He walked back home, as he walked in he found his mother waiting for him.
- lady, why aren't you resting?
- I wanted to make sure that you got back home safe and sound.
- aigoo, this lady.
He said hugging her.
- how is she? I should have send her stuff for her lunch.
- she is coming by in the morning, I forgot the present I got for her in Japan, ah she said that she will bring breakfast so you don't have to cook before you leave.
- I'll cook breakfast, you might get hungry later again.
- lady please is just one day, sleep late.
He smiled.
- I have a question for you son.

- I ask myself that question every day lately.

In the morning y/n left the warehouse making her way to find some breakfast for them before heading to Jungkook's place.
Jungkook woke up, then remembered that y/n was coming over.
- I guess I have to get out of the bed.
He said throwing the covers to the side.
- son, are you awake?
- yea lady, I am up.
- hurry, y/n should be here any minute.
- ok lady, go I'm naked.
- so what? I wiped your butt when you were a baby.
- that's great lady, but I'm not a baby anymore, so please leave.
She laughed as she walked out of his room.
- what's funny lady?
He said making his way to the bathroom, meanwhile y/n made it to the house.
- (knock on door)
- son, are you ready? Y/n is here.
- lady, let her in please I'm getting dressed.
He yelled from his room.
- I'm heading out anyway so I'll let her in.

- good morning darling, is nice to see you.
- nice to see you too imo, can I hug you?

She said opening her arms for her, hugging her, y/n felt the happiness as they hugged.
