Chapter 1

Bo-Hyun

"3..2..1" i count the remaining seconds for the start of my worst day of the  year. My birthday.
And as expected, "ting! ting! ting!" my phone is showered with messages. Associates, company share holders and my so-called friends are faking their appreciation and love for me.

Bang Bang! What the hell is wrong with them? I swing open my bedroom door harshly and stare at them furiously for disturbing me at this hour. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" both idiots barge in pushing me aside, going straight for my bed. I can only stare.

My lips tightly pressed, I try to compose myself. "What do you think you're doing here at this time?" I question both the stupid grinning face infront of me. "Oh come on, hyung, it's your birthday." Taehyung whined and jaehyun nodded his head furiously.

The only people I've loved in my life and the only ones who have loved me back. After our mother's death, we became unseperable. We fell and rose together. Taehyung is the youngest, so he is very demanding in some ways and as a matter of fact i can never say no to our maknae. Jaehyun is more of a hyung to me than I am to him. Him being the middle child, the wisest and also the most sensitive.

I being the grumpy as they both say we make the perfect combination. Our father....Mr Ahn is anything but a father. An alcoholic, workacholic name it, he's that but a father.

"What do you want?" I asked authoratively, with my hands on my hips. "Cuddles?" taehyung teased, and jaehyun scrunched his nose, with his answer, making me want to laugh.

"You said your happy birthdays..now get out." I laughed pointing out the door. "hyungggggggg" taehyung groaned again. Oh boy, this is going to be a long night!

"Good morning" Maria greeted me for the last time with a smile. Maria was my grandfather's scretary. After his death, i appointed her to be mine, because she was the best in her job and knew all the rountines.

"Good morning" i replied in a little more softer tone than i usually use. Maria is retiring and that's increasing my blood pressure. She has finally decided to take a vacation but this time for good. She proposed to send in a replacement for her herself but I don't know if that'll work.

She followed me to my office and stood just infront of my desk. "What's my schedule today Maria?"

"You have a meeting in 10 in the conference room, after that the supplier is expecting you today and the rest of your day is to interview new scretaries for my replacement." She finished grinning lightly.

I groaned and stared at her. " Can you schedule a lunch for me?"

"Yes sir, where do you want to eat?" she asked writing in the notepad in her hands.

"You choose" i answered opening my laptop.

Silence envelopped the room and i look up to see Maria staring blankly at me. I folded my arms and leaned back resting my weight on the chair.

"You want to have lunch with me?" She grinned.

"Yes, I-" of course my brothers had to come right now, i throwed my hands in the air as they shuffle in and Maria turns to look at them.

"Hey memo...heyy maria" both of them greeted her and plopped on the couch in the office. Taehyung has been calling Maria memo ever since he got to know that Maria has excellent memory abilities even at this age.

"Soooo....." Maria looked back at me and grinned.

"But it's your birthday!" taehyung insisted but i didn't budge. I had a lot of work to do as I was in the lack of a scretary now that Maria had lunch with us and requested to leave early since she would be having a farewell dinner with her colleagues.

"I don't want to do anything about today tae.. you know how much i hate this day!" My birthday was my favourite day until our mother died. She use to make this day so special but without her, I don't feel like celebrating.

" But hyung.." i look up at taehyung and there comes his universal weapon. His puppy eye look!

"I sighed and closed the file in my hand. On note, Jaehyun peak into the office by the door and look at both of us. " Are we going?"
"Yes yes, hyung agreed!"
"Wow that was fast, good job tae" he showed both this thumbs up and left.

"Party timeeeeeee!" taehyung sang, also leaving the office. I sighed and called an employee to re schedule the interviews for tommorrow morning.
"This is a total disaster!" I sighed heavily.

"Okay that's enough taehyung!" jeahyung tried to hold a drunk tae in place. I had enough of this loud noise and sweating bodies grinding on each other. This is why i don't do clubs. "Taehyung-ssi move your fucking ass and let's go home!" I hissed.

"Home.." he laughed.
"What home? There where there's no mother? No father? How is it a home hyung?"

Both Jae and I looked at him, this was the first time taehyung was sharing something like this. "Come on maknae it's home to us, you,jae and i."

"Let's get you to bed you big boy" he laughed all the way home until he was tucked in bed like a child. Jae and I left his room and our eyes met. This meant the night was not over...yet.

The employees greeted me rapidly as i made my way out of the elevator to my office.

I was grumpier today, taehyung had a massive hangover so he stayed home. His words were still playing in my head. "what home? There where there's no mother? No father? How is it a home hyung?"

Jae and I were big enough to have memories of our mother but tae was so young, he barely knows what our mother looked like if not for the photographs.

I clench my jaw and take my posture into the rude and grumpy boss's attitude i use as a cover and start the interviews.
