"It certainly is amusing because they fuss over little things" Dmitri hummed as his lips curled upwards.

Dropping the subject, they talked about more important things when a maid who looked shocked to see Dmitri, immediately composed herself as she delivered the message to Elliana.

"Pardon my lady but the 3rd prince is here for the scheduled appointment with you"

 Nilingon ni Elliana si Dmitri pero ngumuso ito at humalukipkip.

"Can't you move the date of your appointment?" nakasimangot nitong tanong.

"Usher the prince to the drawing room, tell him I will meet him shortly" she instructed the maid but the maid hesitated.

Noticing this Elliana waved her hand "He won't mind waiting for a few seconds so just do what I said" her voice serious as the maid bowed and hurried to carry the command, embarrased.

"New maid?" Kuryusong tanong ni Dmitri.

"Yeah, and no I can't move the date of the appointment, how about you do your work for the meantime? We can have dinner later" 

Napangiti naman ng malawak si Dmitri at mabilis na lumabas.

"Catherine, prepare some refreshments for the prince and call some maids to help me dress" 

The maid bowed and immediately left while Elliana is left alone humming on the peace she's having at the moment. Though it's ruined when the door opened revealing the third prince who composed himself as he saw the girl he had set an appointment with.

"Greetings to the star of the empire...Your highness, I apologize but I'm not yet dressed properly to have an audience with you" she stood up and curtsied to the prince.

The prince cleared his throat and waved his hand. "No it's me who should apologize for barging here, I would have wait but I need to say this urgently" 

"Very well then your highness, please take a seat" she gestured the couch and the prince complied.

"I heard that you told the emperor that you want to participate in the hunting festival?" Agad na tanong ng prinsipe.

"Yes, because it took a lot of years to convince him that I will be okay if I joined" a smile was etched on her face that made the prince stare at her for a second.

"Well since you're joining, how about joining my team?" 

Elliana chuckled inwardly. "I see, so this is what is urgent?" she asked, amused.

The prince shrugged. "I'm taking my chances, ayoko din na maunahan ng mga kapatid ko"

The girl hummed thoughtfully and after a few seconds, she made her decision. "I would have joined you your highness, if it isn't my first time participating..." she trailed off for a bit, observing the prince subtly.

"I too, want to make good impression with his majesty and prove to him that I can hunt on my own" she continued resting her cheeks on her palm.

The prince's eyes dimmed for a bit but Elliana's sharp eyes noticed it and smiled innocently at the royalty.

"I apologize your highness, though don't be mistaken, I don't do this because I covet the throne but to genuinely show my improvement to dad..." Although the last word's tone was lower, the prince heard it clearly as they were the only people in the room.

"You and his majesty sure have a very close bond with each other" he blurted out, it was not intentionally but he can't take back the words he just said now.

"I owe his majesty a lot, he saved me, feed me, put a roof above my head and taught me a lot of things" she gently smiled that the prince was mesmerized for a bit.

Napatikhim ang prinsipe bago niya napagpasyahang tumayo. "Well, I suppose you have already made your decision, but the offer still stands if you changed your mind" he smoothed out his clothes and walked outside.

"I hope to have a good match with you in the hunting grounds your highness, please be careful on your way back" she bid him goodbye as they reached the gates where the carriage awaits the prince.

He didn't said anything but smiled at her a bit as the door closed.

Both of their expressions changed when the carriage was at a distance from the duke's mansion.

"Looks like I have to change tactics" The prince crossed his arms as he looked at the scenery outside.

"An utterly waste of time, If he was any person I would have disposed of him immediately" she sighed, disappointed that the prince happens to be the emperor's child.

"I just came back from work, and you already looked pissed" Dmitri chuckled as he appeared beside the girl and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I could have spent the day with you or rested but I have to painstakingly sit there for half an hour to listen to him" she huffed.

"You should calm down yourself, bakit hindi na lang natin pag-usapan kung anong gagawin mo sa hunting festival?" nakangiting tanong ni Dmitri.

Lumiwanag naman ang ekspresiyon ng dalaga at malawak na ngumiti. "I should invite a seamstress on the mansion for a customized clothe no?" excited na tanong niya.

"Do you have a particular design in mind?" Balik na tanong ni Dmitri.

"Yes! Oh kelangan ko din ng espada na gawa ng isang Dwarf, na binasbasan ng Elf"

Napatango-tango si Dmitri "Yes it's only proper for you to have the best equipments"

"Naalala ko lang na hindi pala tumatanggap ng mga tao ang mga Elf at Dwarves" napakamot ng batok si Elliana bago muling nag-isip ng paraan.

"Hindi naman magiging problema yun, you should ask his majesty and he will grant you your wish immediately"pag papaalala ng binata.

"You're right about that, pero gusto ko gawin yung preparations ng hindi humihingi ng tulong sa kanya. Well how about this? We try contacting both races but if it's not possible then we will look for the best blacksmith"

"Alright we'll do that"
