Tanjiro woke up on the thin futon in Saburos house by the foot of the mountain to the smell of some freshly cooked food from the kitchen ~oh yeah I'm at saburo-sans house..~ Tanjiro thinks to himself as he sits up in the futon.
"Ah.. you're finally awake Tanjiro" Tanjiro hears Saburo-sans voice from the doorway and he looks over at the elderly man entering with a tray of food.
"There's no need for the hospitality Saburo-San... I have to get going. My family is probably worried since I didn't come home last night..." Tanjiro says with his usual innocent smile.
"You have a long way up the mountain Tanjiro. You need to have enough energy." Saburo says and gives Tanjiro the tray of food that Tanjiro gladly takes and starts to dig into.

"Thank you for the meal Saburo-san!" Tanjiro says with gratitude as he bows deeply.
"No problem Tanjiro.. be sure to say hi to your family for me" Saburo smiles and waves to Tanjiro as he begins to walk up the mountain.
"I'm sure he's lonely Saburo... maybe I'll bring Nezuko to visit him next time." He smiles as he disappears into the trees.

Tanjiro was slowly nearing his home when there came a disgusting smell that Tanjiro almost gaged to.
"What the-..." he whispered as he ran up to his house as soon as he recognized the smell as blood but stopped in his tracks when he saw Nezuko and Rokuta laying outside the small house covered in blood.
He dropped the basket that was on his back and he ran up to Nezuko and Rokuta in horror.
"Nezuko, Rokuta!?" He tried to shake Nezuko but they were as cold as snow. He look inside seeing all his siblings and mother dead and covered in blood.
"What happened..." he whispered as he tried to check any of them for sign of life until he heard a growl from the trees nearby the house.
"Huh? Is anybody there..?" Tanjiro manages to say as he backs away from the house shaking like a leaf in the wind.
"Argh!!" A loud roar of some kind can be heard as the figure reveals itself from the trees "human... need.. human!" It screams as it charges at Tanjiro.
Tanjiro turns around and breaks into a run down the mountain before the beast tackles him forcing both of them of the edge of the cliff and landing them both in the snow.
Tanjiro feels clays dig into his skin and drawing blood as the wild animal which Tanjiro sees clearer now as a human but unatural marking and horns on its body.
He doesn't even realize he's crying and sobbing for help and the weak young boy tries to push the superhuman monster of his as it scratches his skin and tries to bite onto his flesh.

Sanemi was running as fast as he could as soon as he got the mission from his crow, Sorai.
"CAW! Theres a demon up ahead!" The crow speaks out as she flies a few meters above Sanemi."Finally!" Sanemi grins to himself and he draws his sword before he sees a smaller form under the demon and he pushes the grin away ~a kid?~
He runs faster so he can stop the demon before it's too late. He decides to pull the demon of its prey first and slices its head of before he turns and sees a 13 year old child covered in deep scratches on his arms.
He sheats his sword before kneeling down to the kids height to check on his wounds "you okay kid?" Sanemi asks down his voice a bit softer than it normally is to not frighten the scared child.
The kid doesn't respond as he remains laying in the snow where he was pinned down by the demon. "I'll take that as a no. Atleast tell me your name kid." Sanemi says as he guides the boy to sit up.
Sanemi barely hears the kid mumble out Tanjiro and he nods and starts to try and treat the scratch wounds covering the boys arms.
"That's a good name Tanjiro" Sanemi says and he wraps the wounds up with some bandages.
