"I hate how strict they are!"
After a long meeting with his parents, Jungkook has been ranting to Taehyung about how his parents are so strict on him. They are swimming close to the surface and he looks at Tae. "Do you think this is okay?"
"Think what is okay? How the king and queen treat you or being so close to the surface?" He asks while darting his eyes around, cobalt blue tail rigid.
"Yes! I'm just curious about humans and their cultures. Aren't you curious as well?"
"It's dangerous. Humans are vicious." Taehyung looks at him with wide eyes.
He narrows his eyes at him. "You are generalizing them. What if there are kind humans out there? Yes, I have everything here, but who cares? I want more."
He continues to swim, his purple tail glowing. "I can explore alone if you don't want to come with me, Tae."
"I'm your attendant. I'm not supposed to leave you alone." Taehyung chases after the prince.
Jungkook turns around at him and he giggles. "Then, keep this a secret from the king and queen."
Taehyung pushes his blue hair out of his face. "The ocean feels heavy. Maybe today isn't the best day for this."
Jungkook clings onto his arm. "We're already here, and returning home is a bit far away. Maybe we can swim faster! Follow me!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming." He relents with a pout.
Jungkook swims first, flipping his fins faster, but suddenly the storm hits. He looks around and he can't find Tae. "Tae! I'm here! Where are you?"
The storm is heavy. Rocks throw against him and his purple tail gets injured with something lodges deeply into it with a sickening crunch before the merman washes up on the beach, the coarse sand mixed with the rocks shells, and other debris giving him a nasty rash.
Jungkook hisses at the pain as he goes in and out of consciousness before finally blacking out.
